亚希雅拿着自己身上所穿的新衣，把它撕成十二片，

在奉献这神殿的典礼中，他们献上公牛一百头、公绵羊二百只、绵羊羔四百只；又照着以色列支派的数目献上公山羊十二只，作全以色列的赎罪祭。

叫你们在我的国里坐在我的席上吃喝，又坐在宝座上审判以色列的十二支派。

约书亚把他们从约旦河取来的那十二块石头，竖立在吉甲。

“你要从人民中选十二个人，每支派一人，吩咐他们说：‘你们要从这里，就是约旦河中间，祭司的脚所站的地方，取十二块石头，把它们带过来，放在你们今夜要住宿的地方。’”

约书亚把这些话都写在神的律法书上；又拿一块大石头，立在耶和华圣所旁边的橡树下。约书亚对全体人民说：“看哪，这块石头可以向我们作证，因为它听见了耶和华对我们所说的一切话；所以这块石头要向你们作证，免得你们否认你们的神。”

又知道我蒙了神的恩，那几位被誉为柱石的雅各、矶法和约翰，就向我和巴拿巴伸出右手互相许诺，我们要到外族人那里去传福音，他们要到受割礼的人那里去传福音；

你要为我筑一座土坛，把你的燔祭、平安祭和牛羊献在坛上；在我使人记念我名的地方，我都必到你那里去赐福你。你若是为我筑一座石坛，不可用凿过的石头来建筑，因为你在石头上一动用工具，就把坛污秽了。你上我的坛，不可用梯级，免得在坛上露出你的下体来。’”

以色列人就照着约书亚吩咐的行了；他们照着耶和华吩咐约书亚的，按着以色列十二支派的数目，从约旦河中间取了十二块石头，把它们带过去，到他们住宿的地方，就放在那里。约书亚又在约旦河中间，在抬约柜的祭司的脚所站的地方，竖立十二块石头；那些石头到今日还在那里。

城墙有十二座根基，根基上有羊羔的十二使徒的名字。

按着以色列众子的名字，这些宝石要有十二块；按着他们的名字刻印章，按他们的名字各代表十二个支派。

“你要吩咐以色列人，要从他们手中取杖，按着父家每支派一根，从他们所有的领袖，按着他们的父家，共取十二根杖，你要把各人的名字写在各人的杖上；
