你要谨慎自己和自己的教训，要在这些事上恒心；因为这样行，又能救自己，又能救听你的人。

“你只要谨慎，殷勤保守你的心灵，免得忘记你亲眼所看见的事，又免得你一生，这事离开你的心；总要传给你的子子孙孙。

不可与你们中间所剩下的这些国民搀杂。他们的神，你们不可提他的名，不可指着他起誓，也不可侍奉、叩拜；

万军之耶和华说：“那日，我必从地上除灭偶像的名，不再被人记念；也必使这地不再有假先知与污秽的灵。

因为我必从我民的口中除掉诸巴力的名号，这名号不再提起。

又要谨慎，恐怕有人失了神的恩；恐怕有毒根生出来扰乱你们，因此叫众人沾染污秽；

只要切切地谨慎遵行耶和华仆人摩西所吩咐你们的诫命律法，爱耶和华你们的神，行他一切的道，守他的诫命，专靠他，尽心尽性侍奉他。”

以别神代替耶和华的，他们的愁苦必加增；他们所浇奠的血我不献上；我嘴唇也不提别神的名号。

你们要谨慎行事，不要像愚昧人，当像智慧人。

你们要分外谨慎，爱耶和华你们的神。

他若恒久遵行我的诫命典章如今日一样，我就必坚定他的国位，直到永远。’现今在耶和华的会中，以色列众人眼前所说的，我们的神也听见了。你们应当寻求耶和华你们神的一切诫命，谨守遵行，如此你们可以承受这美地，遗留给你们的子孙，永远为业。“我儿所罗门哪，你当认识耶和华你父的神，诚心乐意地侍奉他；因为他鉴察众人的心，知道一切心思意念。你若寻求他，他必使你寻见；你若离弃他，他必永远丢弃你。

因为他们暗中所行的，就是提起来也是可耻的。

尼波、巴力免、西比玛（尼波、巴力免，名字是改了的），又给他们所建造的城另起别名。

我曾说：“我要谨慎我的言行，免得我舌头犯罪；恶人在我面前的时候，我要用嚼环勒住我的口。”

你们要对他们如此说：“不是那创造天地的神，必从地上从天下被除灭！”

也要拆毁他们的祭坛，打碎他们的柱像，用火焚烧他们的木偶，砍下他们雕刻的神像，并将其名从那地方除灭。

“所以，你们要分外谨慎；因为耶和华在何烈山、从火中对你们说话的那日，你们没有看见什么形像。
