And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat[ any] flesh[ that is] torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs.

“ You are to be my holy people. So do not eat the meat of an animal torn by wild beasts; throw it to the dogs.

“ I want you to be my holy people. So do not eat the meat of any animal that has been torn by wild animals. Throw it to the dogs.

“ You shall be consecrated to me. Therefore you shall not eat any flesh that is torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.

“ You must be my holy people. Therefore, do not eat any animal that has been torn up and killed by wild animals. Throw it to the dogs.

“ Be my holy people. You must not eat the meat of a mauled animal found in the field; throw it to the dogs.

Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God[ am] holy.

Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and[ from] fornication, and[ from] things strangled, and[ from] blood.

Ye shall not eat[ of] any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt give it unto the stranger that[ is] in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest sell it unto an alien: for thou[ art] an holy people unto the LORD thy God. Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother’s milk.

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

That which dieth of itself, or is torn[ with beasts], he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I[ am] the LORD.

The priests shall not eat of any thing that is dead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.

For I[ am] the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I[ am] holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.For I[ am] the LORD that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I[ am] holy.

Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth[ is] mine:And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These[ are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean.

And every soul that eateth that which died[ of itself], or that which was torn[ with beasts, whether it be] one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe[ himself] in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.But if he wash[ them] not, nor bathe his flesh; then he shall bear his iniquity.

But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
