誰明白你怒氣的威力呢？誰按著你該受的敬畏，明白你的盛怒呢？

可是你照著頑固和不悔改的心，為那震怒的日子，就是神公義審判顯現的日子，給自己積蓄了震怒。神將照著各人的行為回報各人：對那些恆心行善，尋求榮耀、尊貴、不朽的，就以永恆的生命回報他們；而對那些營私爭競、不肯信從真理、反信從不義的，就以震怒和憤恨回報他們。神要把患難和困苦加給一切作惡之人的靈魂，先是猶太人的，後是外邦人的；

青年人被火吞噬，處女沒有喜歌。祭司倒在刀下，寡婦卻不能哭泣。

你們要給與，就會被賜予，而且用十足的量器，連搖帶按、滿滿當當地倒在你們懷裡，因為，你們用什麼量器來衡量，也會同樣地被衡量。」

唯獨你是可畏的！你的怒氣一旦發作，誰能在你面前站立得住呢？

落在永生神的手中實在可怕。
