If she does not please the master who has selected her for himself, he must let her be redeemed. He has no right to sell her to foreigners, because he has broken faith with her.

But what if the master who has chosen her does not like her? Then he must let the man buy her back. He has no right to sell her to strangers. He has broken his promise to her.

猶大人行事詭詐，並且在以色列和耶路撒冷中行一件可憎的事；因為猶大人褻瀆耶和華所喜愛的聖潔，娶事奉外邦神的女子為妻。凡行這事的，無論何人，就是獻供物給萬軍之耶和華，耶和華也必從雅各的帳棚中剪除他。你們又行了一件這樣的事，使前妻歎息哭泣的眼淚遮蓋耶和華的壇，以致耶和華不再看顧那供物，也不樂意從你們手中收納。你們還說：「這是為甚麼呢？」因耶和華在你和你幼年所娶的妻中間作見證。她雖是你的配偶，又是你盟約的妻，你卻以詭詐待她。雖然神有靈的餘力能造多人，他不是單造一人嗎？為何只造一人呢？乃是他願人得虔誠的後裔。所以當謹守你們的心，誰也不可以詭詐待幼年所娶的妻。

你們如今若按誠實正直待耶路‧巴力和他的家，就可因亞比米勒得歡樂，他也可因你們得歡樂；

以掃就曉得他父親以撒看不中迦南的女子，

若在被擄的人中見有美貌的女子，戀慕她，要娶她為妻，就可以領她到你家裏去；她便要剃頭髮，修指甲，脫去被擄時所穿的衣服，住在你家裏哀哭父母一個整月，然後可以與她同房。你作她的丈夫，她作你的妻子。後來你若不喜悅她，就要由她隨意出去，決不可為錢賣她，也不可當婢女待她，因為你玷污了她。」

摩西說：「我要出去求耶和華，使成羣的蒼蠅明天離開法老和法老的臣僕並法老的百姓；法老卻不可再行詭詐，不容百姓去祭祀耶和華。」

誰聘定了妻，尚未迎娶，他可以回家去，恐怕他陣亡，別人去娶。』

他父母說：「在你弟兄的女兒中，或在本國的民中，豈沒有一個女子，何致你去在未受割禮的非利士人中娶妻呢？」參孫對他父親說：「願你給我娶那女子，因我喜悅她。」

我的弟兄詭詐，好像溪水，又像溪水流乾的河道。

撒母耳不喜悅他們說「立一個王治理我們」，他就禱告耶和華。

掃羅甚發怒，不喜悅這話，就說：「將萬萬歸大衛，千千歸我，只剩下王位沒有給他了。」
