猶大人不忠貞，在以色列和耶路撒冷做了可憎的事，他們娶信奉外邦神明的女子為妻，褻瀆了耶和華所愛的聖所。願耶和華從雅各的帳篷中剷除所有做這事並獻供物給萬軍之耶和華的人！另外，你們哀哭悲歎，眼淚甚至淹沒了耶和華的祭壇，因為耶和華不再理會你們的供物，不再悅納你們所獻的。你們還問為什麼。因為耶和華在你和你的髮妻中間作證，她是你的配偶，是你盟約的妻子，你卻對她不忠。上帝不是把你們結合為一體，叫你們肉體和心靈都歸祂嗎？祂為何這樣做？是為了得敬虔的後裔。所以，要看管好你們的心，不可對自己年輕時所娶的妻子不忠。

倘若你們光明正大地對待了耶路·巴力一家，願你們給亞比米勒帶來快樂，也願亞比米勒給你們帶來快樂。

就知道父親以撒不喜歡迦南的女子。

如果你們有人在俘虜中看見美麗的女子，被她吸引，想娶她為妻，就可以帶她回家，讓她剃去頭髮，修剪指甲，換掉被俘時所穿的衣服，住在那人家中為她父母哀悼一個月。之後，那人便可以和她結為夫妻。如果那人不喜歡她，則要讓她自由離去，不可賣掉她，也不可奴役她，因為他已經羞辱了她。
