于是摩西对以色列的审判官说：“你们的人若有与巴力‧毗珥联合的，你们各人就要把他们杀了。”摩西和以色列全会众在会幕门口哭泣的时候，看哪，有一个以色列人，在他们眼前带着一个米甸女子，到他弟兄那里。亚伦祭司的孙子，以利亚撒的儿子非尼哈看见了，就从会众中起来，手里拿着枪，跟这以色列人进入帐棚，刺穿了二人，就是以色列人和那女子的肚腹。这样，以色列人遭受的瘟疫就停止了。

其中的领袖是咆哮的狮子，审判官是晚上的野狼，不留一点到早晨。

“地不可以卖断，因为地是我的；你们在我面前是客旅，是寄居的。

“人若彼此打斗，伤害有孕的妇人，以致胎儿掉了出来，随后却无别的伤害，那伤害她的人，总要按妇人的丈夫所提出的，照审判官所裁定的赔偿。

亚吉信了大卫，说：“大卫已经使本族以色列人憎恶他，所以他必永远作我的仆人了。”

因为那夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地一切头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都击杀了；我要对埃及所有的神明施行审判。我是耶和华。

“不可毁谤神；也不可诅咒你百姓的领袖。

撒母耳年纪老迈，就立他的儿子作以色列的士师。他的长子名叫约珥，次子名叫亚比亚；他们在别是巴作士师。

“当时，我吩咐你们的审判官说：‘你们听讼，无论是弟兄之间的诉讼，或与寄居者之间的诉讼，都要秉公判断。

哈拿却没有上去，因为她对丈夫说：“等孩子断了奶，我就带他上去朝见耶和华，让他永远住在那里。”

你也要从百姓中选出有才能的人，敬畏神、诚实可靠、恨恶不义之财的人，派他们作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长来管理百姓。他们要随时审判百姓；重大的事要送到你这里，小事就由他们自行判决。这样，你就可以轻省一些，他们可以与你分担。你若这样做，神也这样吩咐你，你就能承受得住，众百姓也可以和睦地回到自己的地方。”摩西听了他岳父的话，照着他所说的一切去做。摩西从以色列人中选出有才能的人，立他们为百姓的领袖，作千夫长、百夫长、五十夫长、十夫长。他们随时审判百姓：难断的事就送到摩西那里，各样小事就由他们自行判决。

祭物和礼物，你不喜爱，你已经开通我的耳朵；燔祭和赎罪祭非你所要。那时我说：“看哪，我来了！我的事在经卷上已经记载了。我的神啊，我乐意照你的旨意行，你的律法在我心里。”

我必回复你的审判官，像起初一样，回复你的谋士，如起先一般。然后，你必称为公义之城，忠信之邑。”
