“ And if a man beats his male or female servant with a rod, so that he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.

And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall surely be punished.

“ When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod, and the slave dies under his abuse, the owner must be punished.

And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.

“ If a man strikes his male servant or his female servant with a staff so that he or she dies as a result of the blow, he will surely be punished.

“ If a man strikes his servant or his maid with a rod, and he dies under his hand, the man shall surely be punished.

你們對惡人不可心軟，要以命償命，以眼還眼，以牙還牙，以手還手，以腳還腳。

殺該隱的遭受七倍的報應，殺拉麥的遭受七十七倍的報應。」

要知道掌權者是上帝差遣的，對行得正的人有益處。然而，你若作惡，就該懼怕，因為他必將你繩之以法。他是上帝的僕人，代表上帝秉公行義，懲奸罰惡。

「主人若打壞僕婢的一隻眼睛，就要因僕婢眼睛受傷而使僕婢得自由。同樣，倘若他打掉了僕婢的一顆牙齒，也要因此而釋放他。

他們說，『我們禁食，你為什麼不看呢？我們刻苦己身，你為什麼不理睬呢？』我說，『看啊，禁食之日你們仍然隨心所欲，壓榨你們的工人。你們一面禁食，一面爭鬧打鬥，彼此惡拳相向。不要指望這樣的禁食會使你們的禱告在天上蒙垂聽。

耶和華對他說：「不會的，因為凡殺你的，必遭受七倍的報應。」於是，耶和華在該隱身上留下一個記號，免得見到他的人殺他。

凡殺害人的，也必被人殺害，因為人是上帝照著自己的形像造的。

管教僕人不能單靠言語，因為他雖明白卻不服從。

報仇的人要親自處死故意殺人者，一找到他就要處死他。

「『倘若有人被控謀殺，必須有幾個人作證才可以處死他，不可憑一個人的證詞處死他。犯了死罪的殺人兇手必須償命，不可讓他付贖金免死。不可收逃進避難城之人的贖金，讓他在大祭司逝世前返回家園。這樣，你們就不致玷污你們所居住的土地，因為血會玷污土地。除非用兇手的血作抵償，否則被血玷污的土地無法得到潔淨。
