“ If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything.

When you buy a Hebrew slave, he shall serve six years, and in the seventh he shall go out free, for nothing.

摩西吩咐他们说：“每逢七年的末一年，就在豁免年的定期住棚节的时候，

我对他们说：“我们尽力赎回我们弟兄，就是卖与外邦的犹大人；你们还要卖弟兄，使我们赎回来吗？”他们就静默不语，无话可答。

西底家王与耶路撒冷的众民立约，要向他们宣告自由，叫各人任他希伯来的仆人和婢女自由出去，谁也不可使他的一个犹大弟兄作奴仆。（此后，有耶和华的话临到耶利米。）

“你的弟兄若在你那里渐渐穷乏，将自己卖给你，不可叫他像奴仆服侍你。他要在你那里像雇工人和寄居的一样，要服侍你直到禧年。到了禧年，他和他儿女要离开你，一同出去归回本家，到他祖宗的地业那里去。因为他们是我的仆人，是我从埃及地领出来的，不可卖为奴仆。不可严严地辖管他，只要敬畏你的神。至于你的奴仆、婢女，可以从你四围的国中买。并且那寄居在你们中间的外人和他们的家属，在你们地上所生的，你们也可以从其中买人；他们要作你们的产业。

“每逢七年末一年，你要施行豁免。

但各人用银子买的奴仆，既受了割礼就可以吃。

百姓和他们的妻大大呼号，埋怨他们的弟兄犹大人。有的说：“我们和儿女人口众多，要去得粮食度命”；有的说：“我们典了田地、葡萄园、房屋，要得粮食充饥”；有的说：“我们已经指着田地、葡萄园，借了钱给王纳税。我们的身体与我们弟兄的身体一样；我们的儿女与他们的儿女一般。现在我们将要使儿女作人的仆婢，我们的女儿已有为婢的；我们并无力拯救，因为我们的田地、葡萄园已经归了别人。”

有一个先知门徒的妻哀求以利沙说：“你仆人我丈夫死了，他敬畏耶和华是你所知道的。现在有债主来，要取我两个儿子作奴仆。”

因为他没有什么偿还之物，主人吩咐把他和他妻子儿女，并一切所有的都卖了偿还。

愿神赐你天上的甘露，地上的肥土，并许多五谷新酒。

因为你们是重价买来的。所以，要在你们的身子上荣耀神。

若太阳已经出来，就为他有流血的罪。贼若被拿，总要赔还。若他一无所有，就要被卖，顶他所偷的物。

以扫说：“他名雅各，岂不是正对吗？因为他欺骗了我两次：他从前夺了我长子的名分，你看，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下为我可祝的福吗？”
