You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

Do not bow down to them or worship them. I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God. I cause the sins of the parents to affect their children. I will cause the sins of those who hate me to affect even their grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected— even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

Do not bow in worship to them, and do not serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ iniquity on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me,

耶和華遲於發怒、富有恩惠、宥愆赦過、惟當罰者、必不義之、以父之罪、加諸子孫、至三四世、

勿崇奉他神、蓋耶和華乃忌邪之上帝、名為忌邪、

耶和華為忌邪報復之上帝、耶和華報復而充以怒、耶和華報復於其敵、為其仇蓄怒、

勿拜跪、勿崇奉、以我耶和華爾之上帝、乃忌邪之上帝、惡我者討其罪、自父及子、至三四世、

蓋爾上帝耶和華乃烈火、忌邪之上帝、○

錄於我前、我不靜默、必行報施、償於其身、爾與乃祖在山焚香、在岡瀆我、我必度其所為、償於其身、耶和華言之矣、○

爾中遺民、勿與之交、勿稱其神之名、勿指以誓、勿奉事、勿跪拜、

勿拜跪其神、勿崇奉之、勿傚其所為、當傾其神像、碎其柱像、

爾施慈惠於億兆、以父之罪、報及其子之身、惟皇全能之上帝、厥名萬軍之耶和華、

爾之子女、緣爾狥欲、必負其罪、流離於野、歷四十年、迨爾尸骸消滅、

其祖之罪、願耶和華憶之、其母之惡、願不見塗兮、

勿念我祖之罪以罪我、我已底於至微、速以慈惠迎我兮、

約書亞曰、爾不能事耶和華、因彼乃維聖之上帝、忌邪之上帝、不赦爾之罪愆、

恐爾上帝耶和華震怒、滅爾於地、蓋在爾中之上帝耶和華、乃忌邪之上帝也、○

彼以非神者觸我忌、以虛無者激我怒、我將以異族觸彼忌、以蚩氓激彼怒、

憾耶和華者必屈服、我民其永存兮、

然耶和華向猶大之烈怒猶未息、因瑪拿西諸事激之也、

爾不與諸王同葬、因爾敗爾國、殺爾民、惡人之裔、其名永不稱焉、○緣先人之愆、備戮厥子孫、免其興起而據地、建邑於普世、

又過摩西前、言曰、耶和華、耶和華乃仁慈矜憫之上帝也、遲於發怒、富有恩惠、大顯誠實、錫恩於億兆、赦免愆尤、過失罪惡、惟當罰者、必不義之、於父之罪、加諸子孫、至三四世、

隱刺、毀謗、憎上帝、狎侮、傲慢、矜誇、造惡、違逆父母、

耶和華曰、緣此、我必與爾爭、亦必與爾子孫爭、

其子遠乎寧域、受屈抑於邑門、無人援拯、

無人想念、無知識、無聰明、不云材木之半、我已焚之以火、烘餅於炭、半以炙肉食之、豈可用其餘者、而作可憎之物、俯伏以拜木榦乎、

於爾所居之地、勿作偶像、勿立雕像、或柱像、或勒像之石、而崇拜之、我乃耶和華、爾之上帝、

亞哈自卑於我前、爾見之乎、緣此、於彼尚存之日、我不降災、迨其子時、乃降災於其家、

世若惡爾、爾知其先已惡我、

爾之孑遺、處於敵國、為一己之愆尤、並前人之罪戾、日漸消亡、是時必承己愆、及前人之罪、自認所行逆我、

大衛在位之時、饑饉歷三載、大衛諮諏耶和華、耶和華曰、緣掃羅及其流血之家、殺基遍人也、

惡我者、亦惡我父、我若於其中未行人所未行者、彼則無罪、今彼於我及父、且見且惡矣、

是以我遣先知哲人士子就爾、見殺者有之、釘十架者有之、鞭於會堂、由此邑逐於彼邑者亦有之、致世間所流義人之血、悉歸於爾、即自義人亞伯之血、至爾所殺於殿壇間、巴拉加子撒迦利亞之血、我誠語汝、此事悉歸斯世也、○

人取之為薪、用之暖體、燃之烘餅、或以之作神像、而崇拜之、雕偶像、而俯伏於其前、

耶和華與其後裔立約、誡之曰、勿寅畏他神、勿崇拜、勿奉事、勿祭祀、

淫亂者乎、爾豈不知友於世、乃敵上帝乎、凡欲為世之友者、自為上帝敵也、

迨士師沒後、民仍轉而行惡、較甚於祖、從事他神、而跪拜之、不改其行、與其頑梗、

爾曰、上帝積其惡、罰其嗣、然何不報於其身、使自知之、

如爾背爾上帝耶和華所命之約、崇事他神、而跪拜之、耶和華必震怒乎爾、致爾速亡於其所賜之美地、

以崇邱激其怒、雕像攖其憤兮、

如是、斯族寅畏耶和華、又奉事其雕像、其子與孫亦若是、厥祖所行、彼亦效之、迄於今日、

蓋形軀之志、敵乎上帝、以其不服上帝律、且不能服也、

主以猶大王約雅敬、及上帝室之器一分、付於其手、攜器至示拿地、入於其神之廟、置於其神之庫、

惡之者、彼必報之、滅之、凡惡之者、必報弗緩、

世不能惡爾而惡我、以我證其惡行也、

爾將食子女之肉、

亞瑪謝戮以東人而返、攜西珥族之神像、立為己神、跪拜其前、向之焚香、

我必怒之、與其眷屬、及凡狥欲從摩洛者、絕之民中、

有狀若手、伸而握余首髮、神乃舉我、至天地之間、導我於上帝異象中、至耶路撒冷殿、內院北向之門、在彼有激怒致忌之像、

我儕可犯主忌乎、抑力勝於主乎、○

曰、若俯伏拜我、悉以予爾、

蓋人因嫉生怒、報復之日、必不寬宥、不顧贖金、雖多饋之、猶不滿意、

萬軍之耶和華云、以色列族出埃及時、亞瑪力人若何待之、途間禦之、我記憶焉、今往擊之、滅其所有、毋加矜恤、男女、童穉、乳子、牛羊駝驢、悉殺戮之、○

失我者乃戕己命、憾我者咸愛死亡、

倘礪閃爍之刃、施行審鞫、敵我者、我必罰之、憾我者、我必報之、
