The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.

Then Solomon said,“ The Lord has said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.

He also bowed the heavens down low, and came down With thick darkness under His feet.

Clouds and thick darkness surround Him; Righteousness and justice are the foundation of His throne.

Covering Yourself with light as with a cloak, Stretching out heaven like a tent curtain.

Then Solomon said,“ The Lord has said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.

who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

So it came about on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunder and lightning flashes and a thick cloud over the mountain and a very loud trumpet sound, so that all the people who were in the camp trembled.And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

“ These words the Lord spoke to your whole assembly at the mountain from the midst of the fire, from the cloud, and from the thick darkness, with a great voice, and He added nothing more. He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.

From the brightness before Him passed His thick clouds, Hailstones and coals of fire.

while I was standing between the Lord and you at that time, to declare to you the word of the Lord; for you were afraid because of the fire, and you did not go up on the mountain. He said,
