Then spake Solomon, Jehovah hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

He bowed the heavens also, and came down; And thick darkness was under his feet.

Clouds and darkness are round about him: Righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment; Who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain;

Then spake Solomon, Jehovah hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

who only hath immortality, dwelling in light unapproachable; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honor and power eternal. Amen.

And it came to pass on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of a trumpet exceeding loud; and all the people that were in the camp trembled.And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.

These words Jehovah spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and he added no more. And he wrote them upon two tables of stone, and gave them unto me.

At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.

( I stood between Jehovah and you at that time, to show you the word of Jehovah: for ye were afraid because of the fire, and went not up into the mount), saying,
