摩西回答人民：“不要懼怕，因為神降臨是要試驗你們，叫你們常常敬畏他，不至犯罪。”

摩西對人民說：『不要懼怕，因為上帝來臨，是要試驗你們，叫你們時常敬畏他，不至於犯罪。』

摩西曰、勿懼、上帝臨格以試爾、俾爾敬畏、免干厥罪、

摩西曰、勿懼、蓋上帝降臨、試於爾眾、俾爾敬畏、毋蹈愆尤。

摩西謂民曰、毋懼、蓋天主降臨為試爾、又為使爾恆敬畏之、俾爾不至犯罪、

Moses said to the people,“ Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”

Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid. God has come to test you. He wants you to have respect for him. That will keep you from sinning.”

Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.”

“ Don’t be afraid,” Moses answered them,“ for God has come in this way to test you, and so that your fear of him will keep you from sinning!”

Moses responded to the people,“ Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you will fear him and will not sin.”

However, Moses said to the people,“ Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you will not sin.”

And Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear; for God has come to test you, and that His fear may be before you, so that you may not sin.”

And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before you, that ye sin not.

Moses responded to the people,“ Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, so that you will fear Him and will not sin.”

And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.

Moses said to the people,“ Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you so that you do not sin.”

Moses said to the people,“ Don’t be afraid, for God has come to test you, and that his fear may be before you, that you won’t sin.”

you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. (niv)

The Lord Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread. (niv)

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. (niv)

Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. (niv)

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he replied. (niv)

“ Do not be afraid,” Samuel replied.“ You have done all this evil; yet do not turn away from the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. (niv)

And he said to the human race,“ The fear of the Lord— that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.” (niv)

And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, (niv)

“ Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said.“ Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” (niv)

Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the Lord evil is avoided. (niv)

“ Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. (niv)

Then Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became fit to drink. There the Lord issued a ruling and instruction for them and put them to the test.He said,“ If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.” (niv)

so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life. (niv)

But the earlier governors— those preceding me— placed a heavy burden on the people and took forty shekels of silver from them in addition to food and wine. Their assistants also lorded it over the people. But out of reverence for God I did not act like that. (niv)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (niv)

Abraham replied,“ I said to myself,‘ There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’ (niv)

Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when he said to me,“ Assemble the people before me to hear my words so that they may learn to revere me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children.” (niv)

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (niv)
