他们对摩西说：“请你向我们说话，我们必听；不要让神向我们说话，免得我们死亡。”

对摩西说：“求你和我们说话，我们必听；不要神和我们说话，恐怕我们死亡。”

他们对摩西说：“请你向我们说话，我们必听；不要让上帝向我们说话，免得我们死亡。”

他们对摩西说：“求你跟我们说话，我们必听从。不要让上帝直接跟我们说话，恐怕我们会丧命！”

他们对摩西说：“求你和我们说话吧，我们必定听你的话，不可让神和我们说话，恐怕我们死亡。”

對摩西說：「求你和我們說話，我們必聽；不要神和我們說話，恐怕我們死亡。」

謂摩西曰、求爾與我言、我聽之、願天主不與我言、恐我死亡、

and said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

They said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself. Then we’ll listen. But don’t let God speak to us. If he does, we’ll die.”

and said to Moses,“ You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.”

And they said to Moses,“ You speak to us, and we will listen. But don’t let God speak directly to us, or we will die!”

“ You speak to us, and we will listen,” they said to Moses,“ but don’t let God speak to us, or we will die.”

Then they said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but do not have God speak to us, or we will die!”

Then they said to Moses,“ You speak with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.”

And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear; but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

“ You speak to us, and we will listen,” they said to Moses,“ but don’t let God speak to us, or we will die.”

这正如你在何烈山大会的那日向耶和华—你的神所求的一切，说：‘求你不要再叫我听见耶和华—我神的声音，也不要再叫我看见这大火，免得我死亡。’

他又说：“只是你不能看见我的面，因为没有人看见我还可以存活。”

这样说来，为什么要有律法呢？律法是为过犯的缘故而加上去的，等候那蒙应许的子孙来到才结束，是藉着天使经中保之手而设立的。

山被火焰烧着，你们听见从黑暗中发出的声音，那时，你们各支派的领袖和长老都挨近我。你们说：‘看哪，耶和华—我们的神将他的荣耀和他的伟大显给我们看，我们也听见他从火中发出的声音。今日我们看到神与人说话，人还活着。现在这大火将要吞灭我们，我们何必死呢？若再听见耶和华我们神的声音，我们就必死。凡血肉之躯，有谁像我们一样，听见了永生神从火中讲话的声音还能活着呢？求你近前去，听耶和华—我们神所要说的一切话，将耶和华—我们神对你说的话都传给我们，我们就听从遵行。’

那时我站在耶和华和你们之间，要将耶和华的话传给你们，因为你们惧怕那火，没有上山。他说：

这人是那曾在旷野的会众中和西奈山上，与那对他说话的天使同在，又与我们祖宗同在的，他领受了活泼的圣言传给我们。

雅各就给那地方起名叫毗努伊勒，说：“我面对面见了神，我的性命仍得保全。”

角声，和说话的声音；当时那些听见这声音的，都求不要再向他们说话，
