如曰勿淫、勿殺、勿竊、勿貪、抑或他誡、皆以一言蔽之、曰愛鄰如己、

遂語眾曰、慎戒貪婪、蓋人之生、不在所蓄之豐裕也、

然則將何言耶、律豈罪乎、非也、非由律則我未嘗知罪、如律不言毋欲、則我不知欲、

故當滅爾在地之肢體、即淫亂、污穢、邪情、惡慾、及貪婪、貪婪與拜像一也、

勿好利、以爾所有為足、蓋上帝嘗云、我必不棄爾、不遺爾也、

彼若肥馬得縱、各向其鄰之妻嘶鳴、

惟淫亂及污穢貪婪、爾中言之亦不可、乃聖徒所宜也、

彼貪田畝而奪之、貪第宅而取之、且虐待其人與家、而據其業、

惟我語汝、見色而好之者、心已淫之矣、

有人孤獨無侶、無子嗣、無昆弟、而勞力不息、貨財不饜於目、自謂為誰勞力、不享福祉、斯亦虛空、乃苦任也、

婦視其樹、食可適口、觀可娛目、且可愛慕、益人智慧、遂取果食之、並以遺夫、夫亦食之、

好金者、得金而不知足、好富者、獲利而不知饜、斯亦虛空、貨財增、食之者亦增、其主有何益哉、惟目睹之而已、

耶和華曰、以色列干罪、至三至四、我不挽回厥罰、以其鬻義人而得銀、鬻貧民以易屨也、貪貧窮者蒙首之塵、窒溫柔者所行之路、父子同近一女、辱我聖名、

田未鬻、非爾田乎、既鬻、非由爾乎、爾心胡生此念哉、非欺人、乃欺上帝耳、

如我心為婦女所惑、窺伺鄰舍之門、

惡者以心之欲為誇、貪者背棄耶和華、而侮慢之、

法利賽人乃好利者、聞而哂之、

爾何不聽耶和華言、急於刦奪、行耶和華所惡、

以我之物、行我所欲、不亦宜乎、我為善、爾嫉視乎、

惟行義而言正、鄙視悖入之利、揮手不受賄賂、塞耳不聽流血之謀、閉目不睹邪惡之事、

竊盜、貪婪、沉湎、詬詈、苛索者、皆不得承上帝國也、

獲不義之財、以富其家、營巢於高處、以避凶暴之手、其人禍哉、

謹守乃心、是為生命之源、

彼詣爾所、如民來集、坐於爾前、若為我民、聽爾言而不行之、其口多顯仁愛、心則逐利、

凡屬爾者、一絲縷、一履帶、吾弗取焉、免爾云、我使亞伯蘭致富、

然敬虔而知足、其利大矣、蓋我儕入世、無所攜來、逝世亦無所攜去、惟有衣食即當知足、圖富有者、乃陷於誘惑機檻、及無知有害之諸慾、溺人於滅亡者也、蓋好利為萬惡之根、有慕之者、迷失乎信、以多苦自刺、○

其轉我心、向爾法度、不向非義之財兮、

蓋爾誠知淫者、污者、及貪婪即拜像者、皆不得嗣業於基督與上帝之國、

惟爾心目、專務貪婪、流無辜之血、行強迫暴虐、

緣其貪婪之咎、我則奮怒以擊之、掩面而憾之、彼仍悖逆、任意而行、

我於所奪之物中、見有示拿之美衣、及銀二百舍客勒、金鋌五十舍客勒、則貪而取之、今在我幕、匿於地中、銀在其下、

我既與目為約、安能顧視少女、

我未始貪人之金銀衣服、

如是、則其牛羊、牲畜貨財、豈不皆為我有、莫若許之、使偕我居、

日夕大衛自牀起、遊行於宮巔、見一婦沐浴、貌甚美、大衛遣人問婦為誰、或曰、非以連女、赫人烏利亞妻拔示巴乎、大衛遣使取之、既至、濯其不潔、大衛與之同寢、婦乃歸、

彼以口腹為神、以辱為榮、以世情為念、終必淪亡、

保爾脫於惡婦、免於外婦諂媚之舌、爾心勿戀其美色、勿為其眉睫所誘、
