Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

For this,“ You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying,“ You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

For the married woman is bound by law to her husband as long as he is alive; but if her husband dies, she is released from the law concerning the husband.So then, if while her husband is alive she gives herself to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress if she gives herself to another man.

‘ If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

And you shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, to be defiled with her.

But sexual immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among saints;and there must be no filthiness or foolish talk, or vulgar joking, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks.For this you know with certainty, that no sexually immoral or impure or greedy person, which amounts to an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
