He said,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you plan to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian?” Moses was afraid, and said,“ Surely this thing is known.”

那人说：“谁立你作我们的首领和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人吗？”摩西便惧怕，说：“这事必是被人知道了。”

那人说：“谁立你作我们的领袖和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人一样吗？”摩西就惧怕，说：“这事一定是让人知道了。”

那人说：“谁立你作我们的领袖和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人一样吗？”摩西就惧怕，说：“这事一定是让人知道了。”

那人说：“你以为你是谁啊？谁立你做我们的首领和审判官？难道你要杀我，像杀那个埃及人一样吗？”摩西听了，害怕起来，心想：“我做的事一定被人知道了。”

那人回答：“谁立了你作我们的领袖和审判官呢？难道你想杀我，好像杀那个埃及人一样吗？”摩西就惧怕起来，心里想：“这事必定给人知道了！”

那人說：「誰立你作我們的首領和審判官呢？難道你要殺我，像殺那埃及人嗎？」摩西便懼怕，說：「這事必是被人知道了。」

那人說：「誰立你作我們的領袖和審判官呢？難道你要殺我，像殺那埃及人一樣嗎？」摩西就懼怕，說：「這事一定是讓人知道了。」

那人說：「誰立你作我們的領袖和審判官呢？難道你要殺我，像殺那埃及人一樣嗎？」摩西就懼怕，說：「這事一定是讓人知道了。」

那人說：「你以為你是誰啊？誰立你做我們的首領和審判官？難道你要殺我，像殺那個埃及人一樣嗎？」摩西聽了，害怕起來，心想：「我做的事一定被人知道了。」

那人回答：“誰立了你作我們的領袖和審判官呢？難道你想殺我，好像殺那個埃及人一樣嗎？”摩西就懼怕起來，心裡想：“這事必定給人知道了！”

那人說：『誰設立你做首領做審判官來管我們呢？難道你要殺我、像殺那埃及人麼？』摩西害怕說：『這事必是給人知道了。』

曰、孰立汝為君長士師以治我、爾欲殺我、如殺埃及人乎、摩西懼、曰、事洩矣、

曰、孰立汝為有司刑官、以治我乎。昔殺埃及人、今欲殺我乎。摩西意謂事洩而懼。

曰、誰立爾為長為刑官以治我、昔爾擊斃伊及人、今欲擊斃我乎、摩西懼、曰、此事誠洩矣、

The man said,“ Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought,“ What I did must have become known.”

The man said,“ Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking about killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid. He thought,“ People must have heard about what I did.”

He answered,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought,“ Surely the thing is known.”

The man replied,“ Who appointed you to be our prince and judge? Are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?” Then Moses was afraid, thinking,“ Everyone knows what I did.”

“ Who made you a commander and judge over us?” the man replied.“ Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid and thought,“ What I did is certainly known.”

But he said,“ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and said,“ Surely the matter has become known!”

Then he said,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” So Moses feared and said,“ Surely this thing is known!”

And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? Thinkest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely the thing is known.

“ Who made you a leader and judge over us?” the man replied.“ Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid and thought: What I did is certainly known.

And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

The man replied,“ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? Are you planning to kill me like you killed that Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, thinking,“ Surely what I did has become known.”

But he said to him,“ Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”

The king’s wrath is like the roaring of a lion, but his favor is like dew on the grass.

When he had come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said,“ By what authority do you do these things? Who gave you this authority?”

They said,“ Stand back!” Then they said,“ This one fellow came in to live as a foreigner, and he appoints himself a judge. Now we will deal worse with you than with them!” They pressed hard on the man Lot, and came near to break the door.

The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,“ Let’s break their bonds apart, and cast their cords from us.”He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath:“ Yet I have set my King on my holy hill of Zion.”

Abram said to Lot,“ Please, let there be no strife between you and me, and between your herdsmen and my herdsmen; for we are relatives.

“ The day following, he appeared to them as they fought, and urged them to be at peace again, saying,‘ Sirs, you are brothers. Why do you wrong one another?’But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?Do you want to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’

Is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but you must also make yourself a prince over us?

His brothers asked him,“ Will you indeed reign over us? Will you indeed have dominion over us?” They hated him all the more for his dreams and for his words.He dreamed yet another dream, and told it to his brothers, and said,“ Behold, I have dreamed yet another dream: and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.”He told it to his father and to his brothers. His father rebuked him, and said to him,“ What is this dream that you have dreamed? Will I and your mother and your brothers indeed come to bow ourselves down to you to the earth?”His brothers envied him, but his father kept this saying in mind.

But his citizens hated him, and sent an envoy after him, saying,‘ We don’t want this man to reign over us.’

But bring those enemies of mine who didn’t want me to reign over them here, and kill them before me.’”

They said to one another,“ Behold, this dreamer comes.Come now therefore, and let’s kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say,‘ An evil animal has devoured him.’ We will see what will become of his dreams.”

“ This Moses, whom they refused, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge?’— God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

They assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them,“ You take too much on yourself, since all the congregation are holy, everyone of them, and Yahweh is among them! Why do you lift yourselves up above Yahweh’s assembly?”

The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe.
