The man said,“ Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking about killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid. He thought,“ People must have heard about what I did.”

那人说：“谁立你作我们的首领和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人吗？”摩西便惧怕，说：“这事必是被人知道了。”

那人说：“谁立你作我们的领袖和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人一样吗？”摩西就惧怕，说：“这事一定是让人知道了。”

那人说：“谁立你作我们的领袖和审判官呢？难道你要杀我，像杀那埃及人一样吗？”摩西就惧怕，说：“这事一定是让人知道了。”

那人说：“你以为你是谁啊？谁立你做我们的首领和审判官？难道你要杀我，像杀那个埃及人一样吗？”摩西听了，害怕起来，心想：“我做的事一定被人知道了。”

那人回答：“谁立了你作我们的领袖和审判官呢？难道你想杀我，好像杀那个埃及人一样吗？”摩西就惧怕起来，心里想：“这事必定给人知道了！”

那人說：「誰立你作我們的首領和審判官呢？難道你要殺我，像殺那埃及人嗎？」摩西便懼怕，說：「這事必是被人知道了。」

那人說：「誰立你作我們的領袖和審判官呢？難道你要殺我，像殺那埃及人一樣嗎？」摩西就懼怕，說：「這事一定是讓人知道了。」

那人說：「誰立你作我們的領袖和審判官呢？難道你要殺我，像殺那埃及人一樣嗎？」摩西就懼怕，說：「這事一定是讓人知道了。」

那人說：「你以為你是誰啊？誰立你做我們的首領和審判官？難道你要殺我，像殺那個埃及人一樣嗎？」摩西聽了，害怕起來，心想：「我做的事一定被人知道了。」

那人回答：“誰立了你作我們的領袖和審判官呢？難道你想殺我，好像殺那個埃及人一樣嗎？”摩西就懼怕起來，心裡想：“這事必定給人知道了！”

那人說：『誰設立你做首領做審判官來管我們呢？難道你要殺我、像殺那埃及人麼？』摩西害怕說：『這事必是給人知道了。』

曰、孰立汝為君長士師以治我、爾欲殺我、如殺埃及人乎、摩西懼、曰、事洩矣、

曰、孰立汝為有司刑官、以治我乎。昔殺埃及人、今欲殺我乎。摩西意謂事洩而懼。

曰、誰立爾為長為刑官以治我、昔爾擊斃伊及人、今欲擊斃我乎、摩西懼、曰、此事誠洩矣、

The man said,“ Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought,“ What I did must have become known.”

He answered,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you mean to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, and thought,“ Surely the thing is known.”

The man replied,“ Who appointed you to be our prince and judge? Are you going to kill me as you killed that Egyptian yesterday?” Then Moses was afraid, thinking,“ Everyone knows what I did.”

“ Who made you a commander and judge over us?” the man replied.“ Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid and thought,“ What I did is certainly known.”

But he said,“ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and said,“ Surely the matter has become known!”

Then he said,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” So Moses feared and said,“ Surely this thing is known!”

And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? Thinkest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely the thing is known.

“ Who made you a leader and judge over us?” the man replied.“ Are you planning to kill me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses became afraid and thought: What I did is certainly known.

And he said, Who made thee a prince and a judge over us? intendest thou to kill me, as thou killedst the Egyptian? And Moses feared, and said, Surely this thing is known.

The man replied,“ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? Are you planning to kill me like you killed that Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid, thinking,“ Surely what I did has become known.”

He said,“ Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you plan to kill me, as you killed the Egyptian?” Moses was afraid, and said,“ Surely this thing is known.”

Jesus replied,“ Friend, who made me a judge or umpire between you?”

A king’s anger is like a lion’s roar. But his favor is like dew on the grass.

Jesus entered the temple courtyard. While he was teaching there, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him.“ By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked.“ Who gave you this authority?”

“ Get out of our way!” the men of Sodom replied to Lot.“ You came here as an outsider. Now you want to act like a judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept trying to force Lot to open the door. Then they moved forward to break it down.

The kings of the earth rise up against the Lord. The rulers of the earth join together against his anointed king.“ Let us break free from their chains,” they say.“ Let us throw off their ropes.”The God who sits on his throne in heaven laughs. The Lord makes fun of those rulers and their plans.When he is angry, he warns them. When his anger blazes out, he terrifies them.He says to them,“ I have placed my king on my holy mountain of Zion.”

So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not argue with each other. The people taking care of your herds and those taking care of mine shouldn’t argue with one another either. After all, we’re part of the same family.

The next day Moses saw two Israelites fighting. He tried to make peace between them.‘ Men, you are both Israelites,’ he said.‘ Why do you want to hurt each other?’“ But the man who was treating the other one badly pushed Moses to one side. He said,‘ Who made you ruler and judge over us?Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?’( Exodus 2:14)

You have brought us up out of a land that has plenty of milk and honey. You have brought us here to kill us in this desert. Isn’t that enough? Now do you also want to act as if you were ruling over us?

His brothers said to him,“ Do you plan to be king over us? Will you really rule over us?” So they hated him even more because of his dream. They didn’t like what he had said.Then Joseph had another dream. He told it to his brothers.“ Listen,” he said.“ I had another dream. This time the sun and moon and 11 stars were bowing down to me.”He told his father as well as his brothers. Then his father rebuked him. He said,“ What about this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers really do that? Will we really come and bow down to the ground in front of you?”His brothers were jealous of him. But his father kept the dreams in mind.

“ But those he ruled over hated him. They sent some messengers after him. They were sent to say,‘ We don’t want this man to be our king.’

And what about my enemies who did not want me to be king over them? Bring them here! Kill them in front of me!’ ”

“ Here comes that dreamer!” they said to one another.“ Come. Let’s kill him. Let’s throw him into one of these empty wells. Let’s say that a wild animal ate him up. Then we’ll see whether his dreams will come true.”

“ This is the same Moses the two men of Israel would not accept. They had said,‘ Who made you ruler and judge?’ But God himself sent Moses to rule the people of Israel and set them free. He spoke to Moses through an angel. The angel had appeared to him in the bush.

They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron. They said to Moses and Aaron,“ You have gone too far! The whole community is holy. Every one in it is holy. And the Lord is with them. So why do you put yourselves above the Lord’ s people?”

If you are afraid of people, it will trap you. But if you trust in the Lord, he will keep you safe.
