Then all the people answered together and said,“ All that the Lord has spoken we will do!” And Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.

眾民僉曰、凡耶和華所諭、我必奉行、摩西乃以民言覆於耶和華、

眾論僉同、對曰、耶和華所諭、敢弗奉行、摩西乃以民言覆於耶和華、耶和華曰、我乘密雲、臨格爾上、我與爾言、俾民聽聞、而篤信爾、歷久弗渝。

眾民同聲相應曰、凡主所諭、我必遵行、摩西以民之言覆於主、

The people all responded together,“ We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord.

Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it as the people listened; and they said,“ All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!”

Then Moses came and reported to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice and said,“ All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!”

Then they said to Moses,“ Speak to us yourself and we will listen; but do not have God speak to us, or we will die!”

Today you have declared the Lord to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His ordinances, and listen to His voice.And the Lord has today declared you to be His people, His personal possession, just as He promised you, and that you are to keep all His commandments;and that He will put you high above all the nations which He has made, for glory, fame, and honor; and that you shall be a consecrated people to the Lord your God, just as He has spoken.”

And the people said to Joshua,“ We will serve the Lord our God and obey His voice.”

are joining with their kinsmen, their nobles, and are taking on themselves a curse and an oath to walk in God’s Law, which was given through Moses, God’s servant, and to keep and to comply with all the commandments of God our Lord, and His ordinances and statutes;

Go near and listen to everything that the Lord our God says; then speak to us everything that the Lord our God speaks to you, and we will listen and do it.’“ Now the Lord heard the sound of your words when you spoke to me, and the Lord said to me,‘ I have heard the sound of the words of this people which they have spoken to you. They have done well in all that they have spoken.If only they had such a heart in them, to fear Me and keep all My commandments always, so that it would go well with them and with their sons forever!
