The people all responded together,“ We will do everything the Lord has said.” So Moses brought their answer back to the Lord.

他又把約書念給百姓聽，百姓聽了都說：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐，我們願意順服。」

摩西下山把耶和華的話和法令都告訴百姓，百姓齊聲回答：「我們願意遵行耶和華的一切吩咐。」

他們對摩西說：「求你跟我們說話，我們必聽從。不要讓上帝直接跟我們說話，恐怕我們會喪命！」

你們今天已經宣稱耶和華是你們的上帝，答應要聽從祂，行祂的道，遵守祂的一切律例、誡命和典章。耶和華今天已經照祂的應許宣稱你們是祂的子民，是祂寶貴的產業。因此，你們要遵守祂的一切誡命，這樣祂必使你們備受讚譽和尊崇，超越祂所造的萬國，並照著祂的應許使你們做屬於祂的聖潔子民。」

民眾答道：「我們必事奉我們的上帝耶和華，聽從祂的話。」

都跟隨他們的貴族同胞起誓要謹遵上帝藉祂僕人摩西頒佈的律法，遵守我們的主耶和華的一切誡命、典章和律例。

你去聽聽我們上帝耶和華所說的話，然後回來告訴我們，我們必聽從、遵行。』「耶和華聽見了你們的話，就對我說，『我聽見了眾人對你說的話，他們所說的都對。但願他們常常敬畏我，遵從我的一切誡命，以便他們和他們的子孫世世代代可以蒙福。
