又打發以色列人中的少年人去獻燔祭，又向耶和華獻牛為平安祭。

以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫有許多人尚未自潔，他們卻也吃逾越節的羊羔，不合所記錄的定例。希西家為他們禱告說：「凡專心尋求神，就是耶和華－他列祖之神的，雖不照着聖所潔淨之禮自潔，求至善的耶和華也饒恕他。」

亞倫的兒子拿答、亞比戶各拿自己的香爐，盛上火，加上香，在耶和華面前獻上凡火，是耶和華沒有吩咐他們的，就有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們燒滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。於是摩西對亞倫說：「這就是耶和華所說：『我在親近我的人中要顯為聖；在眾民面前，我要得榮耀。』」亞倫就默默不言。

到了拿艮的禾場，因為牛失前蹄，烏撒就伸手扶住神的約櫃。神耶和華向烏撒發怒，因這錯誤擊殺他，他就死在神的約櫃旁。大衛因耶和華擊殺烏撒，心裏愁煩，就稱那地方為毗列斯‧烏撒，直到今日。

如今你們若實在聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就要在萬民中作屬我的子民，因為全地都是我的。

摩西下山往百姓那裏去，叫他們自潔，他們就洗衣服。他對百姓說：「到第三天要預備好了。不可親近女人。」

因此，在你們中間有好些軟弱的與患病的，死的也不少。我們若是先分辨自己，就不至於受審。我們受審的時候，乃是被主懲治，免得我們和世人一同定罪。

你們離開吧！離開吧！從巴比倫出來。不要沾不潔淨的物；要從其中出來。你們扛擡耶和華器皿的人哪，務要自潔。

二月十四日，宰了逾越節的羊羔。祭司與利未人覺得慚愧，就潔淨自己，把燔祭奉到耶和華殿中，
