And the Lord said to Moses,“ Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to the Lord to look and many of them perish.

主諭摩西曰、爾下戒民、毋越界近我前以窺、恐其有多人死亡、

and the Lord said to him,“ Go down and warn the people so they do not force their way through to see the Lord and many of them perish.

The Lord said to him,“ Go down and warn the people. They must not force their way through to see the Lord. If they do, many of them will die.

Then the Lord told Moses,“ Go back down and warn the people not to break through the boundaries to see the Lord, or they will die.

Whoever touches the mountain shall be put to death.No hand shall touch him, but he shall be stoned or shot; whether beast or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they shall come up to the mountain.”

Guard your steps when you go to the house of God. To draw near to listen is better than to offer the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they are doing evil.

And Moses said,“ I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,for our God is a consuming fire.
