后来，亚玛力人到利非订攻打以色列人。

“过了四十年，在西奈山的旷野，上帝的天使在荆棘火焰中向摩西显现。

这位摩西曾在旷野与以色列的会众——我们的祖先在一起，又在西奈山上与向他传信息的天使在一起，并且领受了生命之道传给我们。

这些事都有更深的含义，两个妇人是指两个约。夏甲代表颁布于西奈山的约，她所生的孩子是奴仆。
