Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord descended on it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently.

Now Mount Sinai was wrapped in smoke because the Lord had descended on it in fire. The smoke of it went up like the smoke of a kiln, and the whole mountain trembled greatly.

耶和華啊！求你使天下垂，親自降臨；求你觸摸群山，使山冒煙。

因著神的榮耀和大能，聖所中充滿了煙，在那七位天使降完七災以前，沒有人能進入聖所。

神啊！你領著你的子民出來，走過曠野的時候，（細拉）地就震動，在你面前天也落下雨來；這西奈山在神面前，就是在以色列的神面前，也要震動。

耶和華榮耀的景象，在以色列人眼前，好像在山頂上出現烈火。

他注視大地，地就震動；他觸摸群山，山就冒煙。

向所多瑪和蛾摩拉，以及平原全地觀望。不料，看見那地有煙上升，好像燒窯的煙一樣。

“這些話就是耶和華在山上，從火中、密雲中、幽暗裡，大聲對你們全體會眾所說的，並沒有加添甚麼；他把這些話寫在兩塊石版上，交給了我。

我觀看大山，它們盡都震動，小山也都搖來搖去。

他說：“耶和華從西奈而來，從西珥光照他們，從巴蘭山射出光輝，在千萬聖者中來臨，在他的右手有烈火的律法。

日落天黑的時候，忽然有冒煙的爐和燒著的火把，從那些肉塊中經過。

當時他的聲音震動了地；現在他卻應許說：“下一次，我不但要震動地，還要震動天。”

因呼叫者的聲音，門檻的根基震撼，殿也充滿了煙雲。

耶和華說：“你出來站在山上，在我耶和華面前。”那時，耶和華從那裡經過。在耶和華面前有強烈的大風，山崩石碎，但耶和華不在風中；風過以後有地震，但耶和華也不在地震中；地震過後有火，耶和華也不在火中；火後有低微柔和的聲音。

所羅門禱告完了，有火從天上降下來，燒盡了燔祭和其他的祭品；耶和華的榮光充滿了那殿。因為耶和華的榮光充滿了耶和華的殿，祭司都不能進入耶和華的殿。那火降下，耶和華的榮光停在殿上的時候，以色列眾人都看見；於是他們在鋪石地跪下，俯伏在地，敬拜稱頌耶和華說：“耶和華是良善的，他的慈愛永遠長存。”

又要報應那些不認識神、不聽從我們主耶穌的福音的人。

你們要經由我的山谷逃跑，因為山谷必伸展到亞薩；你們要逃跑，好像在猶大王烏西雅年間逃避大地震一樣。耶和華我的神必來臨，所有的聖者都與他（“與他”《馬索拉文本》作“與你”）同來。

一個民族要起來攻打另一個民族，一個國家要起來攻打另一個國家，到處都有饑荒和地震，

但主的日子必要像賊一樣來到。在那日，天必轟然一聲地消失，所有元素都因烈火而融化；地和地上所有的，都要被燒毀（“被燒毀”有不少古抄本作“被發現”）。

大山在他面前震動，小山也都融化；大地在他面前廢去，世界和所有住在世上的，也都這樣。在他盛怒之下，誰能站得住呢？他的烈怒誰能受得了呢？他的忿怒像火一般噴出來，磐石在他面前都崩裂了。

那時，你們走前來，站在山下；山上有火燒著，火燄沖天，又有黑暗、密雲和幽暗。耶和華從火中對你們說話；你們只聽見聲音，卻沒有看見形象；只有聲音，

大地啊！你在主的面前，在雅各的神面前要戰抖。

不可用手觸摸他，必須用石頭把他打死，或用箭射透；無論是牲畜，是人，都不得生存。’當號角聲拖長的時候，你們才可以上到山上來。”

你的雷聲在旋風中響起來，閃電照亮了世界，大地戰抖震動。

全體人民都看見打雷、閃電、角聲和冒著煙的山；人民看見了，就顫抖，遠遠地站著。

你們不是來到那座摸得著的山。那裡有烈火、密雲、幽暗、暴風、
