So Moses lifted his staff toward the sky, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and lightning flashed toward the earth. The Lord sent a tremendous hailstorm against all the land of Egypt.

In his Temple everyone shouts,“ Glory!”The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever.The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

Our God approaches, and he is not silent. Fire devours everything in his way, and a great storm rages around him.

It was the Lord’s Day, and I was worshiping in the Spirit. Suddenly, I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet blast.

Then the cloud covered the Tabernacle, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.

His lightning flashes out across the world. The earth sees and trembles.

“ Who created a channel for the torrents of rain? Who laid out the path for the lightning?

“ My heart pounds as I think of this. It trembles within me.Listen carefully to the thunder of God’s voice as it rolls from his mouth.It rolls across the heavens, and his lightning flashes in every direction.Then comes the roaring of the thunder— the tremendous voice of his majesty. He does not restrain it when he speaks.God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power.

Please beg the Lord to end this terrifying thunder and hail. We’ve had enough. I will let you go; you don’t need to stay any longer.”“ All right,” Moses replied.“ As soon as I leave the city, I will lift my hands and pray to the Lord. Then the thunder and hail will stop, and you will know that the earth belongs to the Lord.
