他以黑暗為他的隱匿處、他四圍的幕棚；他以水的黑暗、天空的密雲、為帳幕。他的密雲、冰雹及火炭、都從他面前的光輝經過。永恆主在天上打雷；至高者發出他的聲音，冰雹及火炭。他射出他的箭來，使仇敵四散；他閃了閃電使他們潰亂。

並且所顯現的是這麼可怕，以致摩西說：我非常畏懼而戰兢』。

眾民見了雷轟、閃電、角聲和山上冒着煙；就懼怕，直發顫，遠遠地站着。

永恆主對摩西說：『看吧，我要在密雲中來找你，好叫人民在我和你說話的時候可以聽見，他們也可以永遠信你。』於是摩西將人民的話告訴永恆主。

有閃電、響聲、雷轟、從寶座間發出；在寶座前點𤏲七枝火把，就是上帝之七靈。

摩西向天伸手杖，永恆主就打雷下冰雹；有火閃到地上：永恆主下冰雹在埃及地。

你的雷聲在旋風中；電閃照亮世界；大地戰抖震動。

天使拿了香爐，將壇上的火盛滿了香爐，丟在地上。隨有雷轟、響聲、閃電、和地震。

於是那在天上的上帝殿堂就開了；他的約櫃在他的殿堂中看得清清楚楚。隨即有閃電、響聲、雷轟、地震和大雹。

因那雲的緣故，祭司都不能站着供職，因為永恆主的榮光充滿着上帝之殿。

今日不是收割麥子的時候麼？我要呼求永恆主打雷下雨，那麼你們就可以知道，可以看出：你們所行的壞事——那求立王的事——在永恆主看來、是多麼大的壞事。』於是撒母耳呼求永恆主，永恆主就在那一天打雷下雨；眾民便非常敬畏永恆主和撒母耳。

永恆主發神諭說：連我、你們也不懼怕麼？在我面前、你們還不戰戰兢兢？我用沙做海的界限，永遠的定限，使它不能越犯；其水雖翻騰，卻不能得勝，其波浪雖匉訇，卻不能越過。

永恆主的聲音在眾水上；榮耀的上帝在打雷，永恆主打雷於大水之上。永恆主的聲音大有能力；永恆主的聲音滿有威嚴。永恆主的聲音震折了香柏樹；永恆主震斷了利巴嫩的香柏樹。他使利巴嫩跳躍如牛犢，使西連山蹦跳如野牛犢。永恆主的聲音砍開火焰來。永恆主的聲音使曠野慌張旋轉。永恆主使加低斯的曠野旋轉慌張。永恆主的聲音使篤耨香樹旋轉，使森林中的樹木脫落淨光；凡在他殿堂中的都說：『榮耀！』永恆主對着洪水而坐着為王，永恆主坐着為王到永遠。願永恆主賜力量給他的人民；願永恆主將平安興隆祝福他人民。

我們的上帝來臨，決不緘默；有火在他面前焚燒着，有暴風在他四圍大颳着。

有一主日、我身在靈境中、聽見有大聲音在我後面像號筒的聲音

當時有雲彩遮蓋着會棚，永恆主的榮耀充滿着那帳幕。

他的閃電照亮世界；大地看見便翻騰。

『誰為大雨水破分水道？為雷電開路線？

『因此我的心發顫，蹦蹦跳地跳離原處。聽啊，聽上帝轟轟的響聲，他口中所發出的宏音。他發雷聲、響遍天下，他發電光、閃到地角。隨後雷聲隆隆，大發威嚴的雷轟；雷聲一被聽見，他總不滯延着閃電。上帝發奇妙的雷聲；他行大事、我們不能知。

這雷轟和冰雹已經夠了：懇求永恆主吧！我就讓你們走，不再叫你們住在這裏。』摩西對法老說：『我一出城，就要伸開雙手向永恆主禱告：雷就必停止，不再有冰雹，好叫你知道大地是屬於永恆主的。
