他以黑暗为藏身之处，以水的黑暗、天空的厚云为他四围的行宫。因他面前的光辉，他的厚云行过便有冰雹火炭。耶和华也在天上打雷；至高者发出声音便有冰雹火炭。他射出箭来，使仇敌四散；多多发出闪电，使他们扰乱。

所见的极其可怕，甚至摩西说：“我甚是恐惧战兢。”

众百姓见雷轰、闪电、角声、山上冒烟，就都发颤，远远地站立，

耶和华对摩西说：“我要在密云中临到你那里，叫百姓在我与你说话的时候可以听见，也可以永远信你了。”于是，摩西将百姓的话奏告耶和华。

有闪电、声音、雷轰从宝座中发出；又有七盏火灯在宝座前点着；这七灯就是神的七灵。

摩西向天伸杖，耶和华就打雷下雹，有火闪到地上；耶和华下雹在埃及地上。

你的雷声在旋风中；电光照亮世界；大地战抖震动。

天使拿着香炉，盛满了坛上的火，倒在地上；随有雷轰、大声、闪电、地震。

当时，神天上的殿开了，在他殿中现出他的约柜。随后有闪电、声音、雷轰、地震、大雹。

甚至祭司不能站立供职，因为耶和华的荣光充满了神的殿。

这不是割麦子的时候吗？我求告耶和华，他必打雷降雨，使你们又知道又看出，你们求立王的事是在耶和华面前犯大罪了。”于是撒母耳求告耶和华，耶和华就在这日打雷降雨，众民便甚惧怕耶和华和撒母耳。

耶和华说：你们怎么不惧怕我呢？我以永远的定例，用沙为海的界限，水不得越过。因此，你们在我面前还不战兢吗？波浪虽然翻腾，却不能逾越；虽然砰訇，却不能过去。

耶和华的声音发在水上；荣耀的神打雷，耶和华打雷在大水之上。耶和华的声音大有能力；耶和华的声音满有威严。耶和华的声音震破香柏树；耶和华震碎黎巴嫩的香柏树。他也使之跳跃如牛犊，使黎巴嫩和西连跳跃如野牛犊。耶和华的声音使火焰分岔。耶和华的声音震动旷野；耶和华震动加低斯的旷野。耶和华的声音惊动母鹿落胎，树木也脱落净光。凡在他殿中的，都称说他的荣耀。洪水泛滥之时，耶和华坐着为王；耶和华坐着为王，直到永远。耶和华必赐力量给他的百姓；耶和华必赐平安的福给他的百姓。

我们的神要来，决不闭口。有烈火在他面前吞灭；有暴风在他四围大刮。

当主日，我被圣灵感动，听见在我后面有大声音如吹号，说：

当时，云彩遮盖会幕，耶和华的荣光就充满了帐幕。

他的闪电光照世界，大地看见便震动。

“谁为雨水分道？谁为雷电开路？

“因此我心战兢，从原处移动。听啊，神轰轰的声音是他口中所发的响声。他发响声震遍天下，发电光闪到地极。随后人听见有雷声轰轰，大发威严，雷电接连不断。神发出奇妙的雷声；他行大事，我们不能测透。

这雷轰和冰雹已经够了。请你们求耶和华，我就容你们去，不再留住你们。”摩西对他说：“我一出城，就要向耶和华举手祷告；雷必止住，也不再有冰雹，叫你知道全地都是属耶和华的。
