Put limits for the people around the mountain and tell them,‘ Be careful that you do not approach the mountain or touch the foot of it. Whoever touches the mountain is to be put to death.

當告民曰、汝之同族以掃子孫、居於西耳、爾經斯土、彼必畏懼、惟汝謹慎、

法老曰、爾且退、自後毋覿我面、覿面之日、我必置爾於死地。

爾所往之地、勿與其民立約、恐陷爾於坎阱。

對曰、爾曾諭我、範圍西乃山、以為聖所、故民不得上。

惟當謹恪、畢生兢兢、自守其心、不致遺忘、爾所見者示於子孫。
