你們中間也有人從前是這樣；但如今你們奉主耶穌基督的名，並藉着我們神的靈，已經洗淨，成聖，稱義了。

並我們心中天良的虧欠已經灑去，身體用清水洗淨了，就當存着誠心和充足的信心來到神面前；

凡摸那牀的，必不潔淨到晚上，並要洗衣服，用水洗澡。

約書亞吩咐百姓說：「你們要自潔，因為明天耶和華必在你們中間行奇事。」

凡拿了死的，必不潔淨到晚上，並要洗衣服。

於是利未人潔淨自己，除了罪，洗了衣服；亞倫將他們當作搖祭奉到耶和華面前，又為他們贖罪，潔淨他們。

約書亞穿着污穢的衣服站在使者面前。使者吩咐站在面前的說：「你們要脫去他污穢的衣服」；又對約書亞說：「我使你脫離罪孽，要給你穿上華美的衣服。」

筵宴的日子過了，約伯打發人去叫他們自潔。他清早起來，按着他們眾人的數目獻燔祭；因為他說：「恐怕我兒子犯了罪，心中棄掉神。」約伯常常這樣行。

你起來，叫百姓自潔，對他們說：『你們要自潔，預備明天，因為耶和華－以色列的神這樣說：以色列啊，你們中間有當滅的物，你們若不除掉，在仇敵面前必站立不住！』

潔淨他們當這樣行：用除罪水彈在他們身上，又叫他們用剃頭刀刮全身，洗衣服，潔淨自己。

對他們說：「利未人哪，當聽我說：現在你們要潔淨自己，又潔淨耶和華－你們列祖神的殿，從聖所中除去污穢之物。

但祭司太少，不能剝盡燔祭牲的皮，所以他們的弟兄利未人幫助他們，直等燔祭的事完了，又等別的祭司自潔了；因為利未人誠心自潔，勝過祭司。

他說：「為平安來的，我是給耶和華獻祭。你們當自潔，來與我同吃祭肉。」撒母耳就使耶西和他眾子自潔，請他們來吃祭肉。

會中有許多人尚未自潔，所以利未人為一切不潔之人宰逾越節的羊羔，使他們在耶和華面前成為聖潔。以法蓮、瑪拿西、以薩迦、西布倫有許多人尚未自潔，他們卻也吃逾越節的羊羔，不合所記錄的定例。希西家為他們禱告說：「凡專心尋求神，就是耶和華－他列祖之神的，雖不照着聖所潔淨之禮自潔，求至善的耶和華也饒恕他。」

摩西下山往百姓那裏去，叫他們自潔，他們就洗衣服。他對百姓說：「到第三天要預備好了。不可親近女人。」

第七日，你們要洗衣服，就為潔淨，然後可以進營。」

我對他說：「我主，你知道。」他向我說：「這些人是從大患難中出來的，曾用羔羊的血把衣裳洗白淨了。
