雅各就对他的家人以及所有与他在一起的人说：“你们要除掉你们中间的外邦神像，并要洁净自己，更换你们的衣服。

你们有些人过去是这样，但是藉着主耶稣基督的名，藉着我们神的灵，你们已经被洗净了，被分别为圣了，被称为义了。

既然我们的心被血洒过，脱离了罪恶感，身体也被清水洗净了，就让我们怀着真诚的心，以确信不移的信仰近前来；

撒母耳回答：“是为平安！我是来向耶和华献祭的。你们要使自己分别为圣，与我一起参加祭祀。”撒母耳也把耶西和他的儿子们分别为圣，邀请他们参加祭祀。

我对他说：“我主啊，你是知道的。”他就对我说：“这些人都是从大患难中出来的。他们用羔羊的血洗净了自己的袍子，使它们洁白了。
