Moses told his father-in-law about everything the Lord had done to Pharaoh and the Egyptians for Israel’s sake and about all the hardships they had met along the way and how the Lord had saved them.

他拯救他们脱离恨他们之人的手，从仇敌手中救赎他们。

你在急难中呼求，我就搭救你，在雷的隐密处应允你，在米利巴水那里考验你。（细拉）

愿耶和华救赎的百姓说这话，就是他从敌人手中所救赎，

他们不追念他手的能力，和他救赎他们脱离敌人的日子；他怎样在埃及显神迹，在琐安田显奇事，

“‘你曾看见我们祖先在埃及所受的困苦，垂听他们在红海边的哀求，施行神迹奇事在法老和他所有臣仆，以及他国中众百姓身上，因为你知道他们向我们祖先行事狂傲。你也得了名声，正如今日一样。你在我们祖先面前把海分开，使他们走过海中干地，将追赶他们的人抛在深海，如石头抛在大水中。白昼你用云柱引导他们，黑夜你用火柱照亮他们当行的路。你降临在西奈山，从天上与他们说话，赐给他们正直的典章、真实的律法、美好的律例与诫命，又使他们知道你的圣安息日，并藉你仆人摩西传给他们诫命、律例、律法。你从天上赐下粮食给他们充饥，使水从磐石流出给他们解渴。你吩咐他们进去，得你起誓应许要赐给他们的地。

耶和华啊，你的右手施展能力，大显荣耀；耶和华啊，你的右手摔碎仇敌。

这一代要对那一代颂赞你的作为，他们要传扬你的大能。他们要述说你威严荣耀的尊荣，我要默念你奇妙的作为。人要传讲你可畏的能力，我也要传扬你的伟大。他们要将你可记念的大恩传开，并要高唱你的公义。耶和华有恩惠，有怜悯，不轻易发怒，大有慈爱。耶和华善待万有，他的怜悯覆庇他一切所造的。耶和华啊，你一切所造的都要称谢你，你的圣民也要称颂你。他们要传讲你国度的荣耀，谈论你的大能，好让世人知道你大能的作为和你国度威严的荣耀。

敬畏上帝的人哪，你们都来听！我要述说他为我所做的事。

你们要称谢耶和华，求告他的名，在万民中传扬他的作为！要向他唱诗，向他歌颂，述说他一切奇妙的作为！

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地死在耶和华手中！那时我们坐在肉锅旁，吃饼得饱。你们却将我们领出来，到这旷野，要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

若这年轻人不和我一起，我怎能上到我父亲那里呢？恐怕我要看到灾祸临到我父亲了。”

摩西领以色列人从红海起程，到了书珥的旷野，在旷野走了三天，找不到水。到了玛拉，他们不能喝玛拉的水，因为水是苦的；所以那地名叫玛拉。百姓就向摩西发怨言，说：“我们喝什么呢？”

惊骇恐惧临到他们；耶和华啊，因你膀臂的大能，他们如石头寂静不动，等候你百姓过去，等候你所赎的百姓过去。

上帝啊，自我年幼，你就教导我；直到如今，我传扬你奇妙的作为。上帝啊，我年老发白的时候，求你不要离弃我！等我宣扬你的能力给下一代，宣扬你的大能给后世的人。上帝啊，你的公义极高；行过大事的上帝啊，谁能像你？你是叫我多经历重大急难的，必使我再活过来，从地的深处救我上来。

摩西的岳父，米甸祭司叶特罗，听见上帝为摩西和为他百姓以色列所行的一切事，就是耶和华将以色列从埃及领了出来。
