你在急難中呼求，我便救拔你；我在雷轟的隱密處應了你，在米利巴水的事上試驗了你。（細拉）

他們不追念着他大能的手，不追念他贖救了他們、脫離敵人的日子：他怎樣在埃及施他的神迹，在瑣安田野顯他的奇事，

『你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在蘆葦海邊的哀呼，你就施行神迹奇事責罰法老和他所有的臣僕以及他國內的眾民，因為你知道他們怎樣以狂妄傲慢待我們的列祖；你就為自己立了名聲、正如今日一樣。你又在我們的列祖面前使海裂開，讓他們在海中乾地上走過去，將追趕他們的人丟在深海，如同石頭丟在浩蕩之水中。日間你又用雲柱領導他們，夜間又用火柱照亮他們所該走的路。你也降臨在西乃山，從天上同他們說話，賜給他們正當事的典章、真正的禮節規矩、美好之條例和誡命；你又使他們知道你的聖安息日，並由你僕人摩西經手、將誡命條例律法吩咐他們遵守。你從天上將糧食賜給他們、去給他們充饑，又使水從磐石間流出來、給他們解渴；你又吩咐他們要進來取得這地、就是你曾舉手起誓給他們的。

永恆主啊，你的右手威嚴而大有能力；永恆主啊，你的右手擊碎了仇敵。

一代對一代要稱頌你的作為；你的大能他們要宣說。你威嚴的尊榮、人要講論；你奇妙作為的榮耀我要默想着。你可畏懼之事的能力、人要敘說；你作為之至大我要宣揚。你慈惠豐盛之令人懷念、他們要傾吐出來，你的義氣他們要呼頌。永恆主有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，而有宏大的堅愛。永恆主善待萬物，他的憐憫覆庇着他一切所造的。永恆主啊，你一切所造的都要稱謝你；你堅貞之民要祝頌你。你國的榮耀他們要敘說，你的大能他們要講論，好使人類知道你大能的作為，和你國之尊威之榮耀。

敬畏上帝的人哪，你們都來聽；我要敘說他為我所行的事。

你們要稱謝永恆主，宣告他的名，在萬族之民中使人知道他所作的。要歌頌他，要唱揚他，述說他一切奇妙的作為。

以色列人對他們說：『巴不得我們在埃及地早死在永恆主手裏；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，喫餅喫到飽飽地，你們竟將我們領出來、到這曠野，要叫這全體大眾都餓死啊！』

因為若沒有兒童和我一同去，我怎能上去見我父親呢？恐怕我會看見那要找到我父親身上來的禍患呢。』

摩西領着以色列人從蘆葦海往前行；他們出去到書珥的曠野，在曠野走了三天，找不着水。到了瑪拉，他們不能喝瑪拉的水，因為水苦，因此那地方名叫瑪拉。人民就向摩西發怨言說：『我們喝甚麼？』

恐怖震懾襲擊了他們。永恆主啊，因你膀臂之大能力，他們竟如石頭寂然不動，等你的人民過去，等你所獲得的人民過去。

上帝啊，從我幼年以來、你就教訓我；直到如今、我還宣說你奇妙的作為。到我這年老髮白時候、上帝啊，不要離棄我，等我將你膀臂的作為向下一代宣說，將你的大能向一切將來的人講述。而你的義氣、上帝啊、就是你所行的大事、達於高天，上帝啊，誰能比得上你呢？你這使我經見了多而慘惡之患難的、你必使我活過來，使我從地府之最低處再上來。
