「你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，就施行神蹟奇事在法老和他一切臣僕，並他國中的眾民身上。你也得了名聲，正如今日一樣，因為你知道他們向我們列祖行事狂傲。你又在我們列祖面前把海分開，使他們在海中行走乾地，將追趕他們的人拋在深海，如石頭拋在大水中；並且白晝用雲柱引導他們，黑夜用火柱照亮他們當行的路。你也降臨在西奈山，從天上與他們說話，賜給他們正直的典章、真實的律法、美好的條例與誡命，又使他們知道你的安息聖日，並藉你僕人摩西傳給他們誡命、條例、律法。從天上賜下糧食充他們的飢，從磐石使水流出解他們的渴，又吩咐他們進去得你起誓應許賜給他們的地。

耶和華啊，你的右手施展能力，顯出榮耀；耶和華啊，你的右手摔碎仇敵。

這代要對那代頌讚你的作為，也要傳揚你的大能。我要默念你威嚴的尊榮和你奇妙的作為。人要傳說你可畏之事的能力；我也要傳揚你的大德。他們記念你的大恩就要傳出來，並要歌唱你的公義。耶和華有恩惠，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，大有慈愛。耶和華善待萬民；他的慈悲覆庇他一切所造的。耶和華啊，你一切所造的都要稱謝你；你的聖民也要稱頌你，傳說你國的榮耀，談論你的大能，好叫世人知道你大能的作為，並你國度威嚴的榮耀。

凡敬畏神的人，你們都來聽！我要述說他為我所行的事。

你們要稱謝耶和華，求告他的名，在萬民中傳揚他的作為！要向他唱詩歌頌，談論他一切奇妙的作為！

說：「巴不得我們早死在埃及地、耶和華的手下；那時我們坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃得飽足。你們將我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全會眾都餓死啊！」

若童子不和我同去，我怎能上去見我父親呢？恐怕我看見災禍臨到我父親身上。」

摩西領以色列人從紅海往前行，到了書珥的曠野，在曠野走了三天，找不着水。到了瑪拉，不能喝那裏的水；因為水苦，所以那地名叫瑪拉。百姓就向摩西發怨言，說：「我們喝甚麼呢？」

驚駭恐懼臨到他們。耶和華啊，因你膀臂的大能，他們如石頭寂然不動，等候你的百姓過去，等候你所贖的百姓過去。

神啊，自我年幼時，你就教訓我；直到如今，我傳揚你奇妙的作為。神啊，我到年老髮白的時候，求你不要離棄我！等我將你的能力指示下代，將你的大能指示後世的人。神啊，你的公義甚高；行過大事的神啊，誰能像你！你是叫我們多經歷重大急難的，必使我們復活，從地的深處救上來。
