他們忘記了他的能力（“他的能力”直譯是“他的手”），就是他救贖他們脫離敵人的日子，他怎樣在埃及顯神蹟，在瑣安的田野行奇事。

你看見我們的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海的哀求，因為你知道埃及人怎樣狂妄自大地對待他們，所以就對法老和他的一切臣僕，以及他國中所有的人民，施行神蹟奇事，為你自己建立了至今仍存的名聲。你又在我們的列祖面前把海分開，使他們在海中的乾地上走過去；把追趕他們的人丟在深處，好像石頭拋進怒海之中。日間你用雲柱引導他們，夜間用火柱光照他們要行的路。你降臨西奈山上，從天上與他們說話，賜給他們正直的典章、真實的律法、美好的條例與誡命。你使他們認識你的聖安息，藉你僕人摩西向他們頒布誡命、條例和律法。你從天上賜下糧食，給他們充飢，吩咐水從磐石流出來給他們解渴；你又吩咐他們進去佔領，你舉手起誓要賜給他們的那地。

耶和華啊，你的右手滿有榮耀和能力；耶和華啊，你的右手擊碎了仇敵。

世世代代的人都要頌讚你的作為，他們要傳揚你大能的作為。他們要講述你威嚴的尊榮，我也要默想你奇妙的作為。他們要述說你所行可畏的事的能力，我也要宣揚你的偉大。他們要傳述你可記念、至善的名，也要歌唱你的公義。耶和華有恩典有憐憫，不輕易發怒，大有慈愛。耶和華善待萬有，他的憐憫臨到他一切所造的。耶和華啊！你一切所造的都要稱謝你，你的聖民也要稱頌你。他們要講論你國的榮耀，也要述說你大能的作為。好使世人知道你大能的作為，和你國威嚴的尊榮。

所有敬畏神的人哪！你們都要來聽，我要述說他為我所行的事。

你們要稱謝耶和華，求告他的名；在萬民中傳揚他的作為。你們要向他歌唱，歌頌他，講論他一切奇妙的作為。

以色列人對他們說：“我們寧願在埃及地坐在肉鍋旁邊，吃飯吃到飽的時候，死在耶和華的手裡！你們倒把我們領出來，到這曠野，是要叫這全體會眾餓死啊！”

因為如果孩子沒有與我同去，我怎能上去見我的父親呢？恐怕我會看見災禍臨到我父親身上。”

摩西命以色列人從紅海起程，到書珥曠野去；他們在曠野走了三天，找不著水。後來到了瑪拉，瑪拉的水卻不能喝，因為水苦。因此，那地名叫瑪拉。人民就向摩西發怨言，說：“我們喝甚麼呢？”

恐懼戰兢臨到他們身上；因著你大能的手臂，他們像石頭一樣寂然不動；直到你的人民過去，耶和華啊，直到你買贖的人民過去。

神啊！我自幼以來，你就教導我；直到現在，我還是宣揚你奇妙的作為。神啊！到我年老髮白的時候，求你仍不要離棄我，等我把你的能力向下一代傳揚，把你的大能向後世所有的人傳揚。神啊！你的公義達到高天，你曾經行過大事，神啊！有誰像你呢？你使我們經歷了很多苦難，你必使我們再活過來，你必把我們從地的深處救上來。
