他们忘记了他的能力（“他的能力”直译是“他的手”），就是他救赎他们脱离敌人的日子，他怎样在埃及显神迹，在琐安的田野行奇事。

你看见我们的列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂听他们在红海的哀求，因为你知道埃及人怎样狂妄自大地对待他们，所以就对法老和他的一切臣仆，以及他国中所有的人民，施行神迹奇事，为你自己建立了至今仍存的名声。你又在我们的列祖面前把海分开，使他们在海中的干地上走过去；把追赶他们的人丢在深处，好像石头抛进怒海之中。日间你用云柱引导他们，夜间用火柱光照他们要行的路。你降临西奈山上，从天上与他们说话，赐给他们正直的典章、真实的律法、美好的条例与诫命。你使他们认识你的圣安息，藉你仆人摩西向他们颁布诫命、条例和律法。你从天上赐下粮食，给他们充饥，吩咐水从磐石流出来给他们解渴；你又吩咐他们进去占领，你举手起誓要赐给他们的那地。

耶和华啊，你的右手满有荣耀和能力；耶和华啊，你的右手击碎了仇敌。

世世代代的人都要颂赞你的作为，他们要传扬你大能的作为。他们要讲述你威严的尊荣，我也要默想你奇妙的作为。他们要述说你所行可畏的事的能力，我也要宣扬你的伟大。他们要传述你可记念、至善的名，也要歌唱你的公义。耶和华有恩典有怜悯，不轻易发怒，大有慈爱。耶和华善待万有，他的怜悯临到他一切所造的。耶和华啊！你一切所造的都要称谢你，你的圣民也要称颂你。他们要讲论你国的荣耀，也要述说你大能的作为。好使世人知道你大能的作为，和你国威严的尊荣。

所有敬畏神的人哪！你们都要来听，我要述说他为我所行的事。

你们要称谢耶和华，求告他的名；在万民中传扬他的作为。你们要向他歌唱，歌颂他，讲论他一切奇妙的作为。

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地坐在肉锅旁边，吃饭吃到饱的时候，死在耶和华的手里！你们倒把我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全体会众饿死啊！”

因为如果孩子没有与我同去，我怎能上去见我的父亲呢？恐怕我会看见灾祸临到我父亲身上。”

摩西命以色列人从红海起程，到书珥旷野去；他们在旷野走了三天，找不着水。后来到了玛拉，玛拉的水却不能喝，因为水苦。因此，那地名叫玛拉。人民就向摩西发怨言，说：“我们喝什么呢？”

恐惧战兢临到他们身上；因着你大能的手臂，他们像石头一样寂然不动；直到你的人民过去，耶和华啊，直到你买赎的人民过去。

神啊！我自幼以来，你就教导我；直到现在，我还是宣扬你奇妙的作为。神啊！到我年老发白的时候，求你仍不要离弃我，等我把你的能力向下一代传扬，把你的大能向后世所有的人传扬。神啊！你的公义达到高天，你曾经行过大事，神啊！有谁像你呢？你使我们经历了很多苦难，你必使我们再活过来，你必把我们从地的深处救上来。
