One generation shall laud thy works to another, And shall declare thy mighty acts.Of the glorious majesty of thine honor, And of thy wondrous works, will I meditate.And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts; And I will declare thy greatness.They shall utter the memory of thy great goodness, And shall sing of thy righteousness.Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of great lovingkindness.Jehovah is good to all; And his tender mercies are over all his works.All thy works shall give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; And thy saints shall bless thee.They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, And talk of thy power;To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, And the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

Come, and hear, all ye that fear God, And I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

Oh give thanks unto Jehovah, call upon his name; Make known among the peoples his doings.Sing unto him, sing praises unto him; Talk ye of all his marvelous works.

and the children of Israel said unto them, Would that we had died by the hand of Jehovah in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh- pots, when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.

For how shall I go up to my father, if the lad be not with me? lest I see the evil that shall come on my father.

And Moses led Israel onward from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?

Terror and dread falleth upon them; By the greatness of thine arm they are as still as a stone; Till thy people pass over, O Jehovah, Till the people pass over that thou hast purchased.

O God, thou hast taught me from my youth; And hitherto have I declared thy wondrous works.Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not, Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high; Thou who hast done great things, O God, who is like unto thee?Thou, who hast showed us many and sore troubles, Wilt quicken us again, And wilt bring us up again from the depths of the earth.

Now Jethro, the priest of Midian, Moses’ father- in- law, heard of all that God had done for Moses, and for Israel his people, how that Jehovah had brought Israel out of Egypt.
