“在你的城里如果有什么争讼的事：或是流血，或是诉讼，或是殴打，是你很难处决的案件，你就要起来，上到耶和华你的神选择的地方，去见利未支派的祭司和当时的审判官，询问他们，他们就必指示你们怎样判断这案件。

审判的时候，不可偏袒人；无论贵贱尊卑，都要一样地听讼；不可怕人的情面，因为审判是属于神的；如果你们遇见难断的案件，可以呈到我这里来，让我审断。’那时，我把你们当作的一切事，都吩咐了你们。

因此，你们也当纳税，因为他们是神的差役，专责处理这事的。

你必疲乏不堪；不但你自己，连与你在一起的人民也必疲乏不堪，因为这事太重，你不能独自一人去作。
