摩西对岳父说：“这是因百姓到我这里来求问神。

摩西对岳父说：“他们是来求问上帝的，

摩西回答他岳父：“因为人民到我这里来求问神。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因百姓到我這裏來求問神。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因為百姓到我這裏來求問上帝。

摩西對岳父說：「這是因為百姓到我這裏來求問神。

摩西對岳父說：「他們是來求問上帝的，

摩西回答他岳父：“因為人民到我這裡來求問神。

摩西對他的岳父說：『因為人民來找我求問上帝呀。

摩西曰、民就我諮詢於上帝耳、

摩西曰、民咸就我、諮詢上帝之意耳。

摩西對外舅曰、因民就我問天主故也、

Moses answered him,“ Because the people come to me to seek God’s will.

Moses answered,“ The people come to me to find out what God wants them to do.

And Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God;

Moses replied,“ Because the people come to me to get a ruling from God.

Moses replied to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

Moses said to his father in law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said unto his father- in- law, Because the people come unto me to inquire of God:

Moses replied to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

And Moses said unto his father in law, Because the people come unto me to enquire of God:

Moses said to his father-in-law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

Moses said to his father- in- law,“ Because the people come to me to inquire of God.

and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. (niv)

So Moses brought their case before the Lord, (niv)

They put him in custody until the will of the Lord should be made clear to them.Then the Lord said to Moses:“ Take the blasphemer outside the camp. All those who heard him are to lay their hands on his head, and the entire assembly is to stone him. (niv)

Listen now to me and I will give you some advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people’s representative before God and bring their disputes to him.Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave. (niv)

Moses answered them,“ Wait until I find out what the Lord commands concerning you.” (niv)

But some of them could not celebrate the Passover on that day because they were ceremonially unclean on account of a dead body. So they came to Moses and Aaron that same day (niv)

If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge— whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults— take them to the place the Lord your God will choose.Go to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office at that time. Inquire of them and they will give you the verdict.You must act according to the decisions they give you at the place the Lord will choose. Be careful to do everything they instruct you to do.Act according to whatever they teach you and the decisions they give you. Do not turn aside from what they tell you, to the right or to the left.Anyone who shows contempt for the judge or for the priest who stands ministering there to the Lord your God is to be put to death. You must purge the evil from Israel.All the people will hear and be afraid, and will not be contemptuous again. (niv)
