Now I know that the Lord is greater than all other gods, for he did this to those who had treated Israel arrogantly.”

主我天主至大、超乎諸神、故我所欲建之殿必巨、

主歟、諸神之中、誰可比主、誰能似主至聖極榮、可畏可頌、施行奇跡、

主乃至大之神、至大之王、超乎諸神之上、

我知惟主至大、我主超乎諸神之上、

主以臂施厥大力、心志驕傲者皆散之、

因主至大、極當頌揚、在諸神之上、顯威可畏、異邦所敬諸神、悉屬虛無、

故我尼布甲尼撒讚美稱謝頌揚天上之大主宰、其所為者最誠實、其道至公義、惟行動驕傲者、天主使之卑微、

惟主至上、治理全地、惟主至高、超乎諸神之上、

法老及其臣僕國民狂傲、欺凌我列祖、為主所知、主顯異跡奇事以罰之、播揚大名、有如今日、

遂與眾從者返神人之宅、立於其前、曰、今我知天下惟以色列中有天主、今求爾受禮物於僕、

然彼賜恩尤大、故曰、天主擯斥驕傲者、賜恩於謙卑者、

主斥責當受詛之驕傲人、因違背主之誡命、

我既因法老與其車馬獲大榮、伊及人必知我乃主、

摩西亞倫往見法老曰、希伯來人之天主耶和華如是云、爾於我前、不欲自卑、將至何時、當釋我民、以奉事我、

然我使爾立、欲顯我之大能以示爾、使我名傳於天下、或作但因我欲顯我之大能以示爾使我名傳於天下故至今我使爾立爾仍強拘我民、不釋之去、

伊及王命之曰、爾為希伯來婦收生、見其所產、若為男則殺之、女則存焉、

婦謂以利亞曰、今我知爾乃神人、主藉爾所言、真實無妄、

法老命其民曰、以色列族生男、當投於河、女則全其命、

主使伊及王法老剛愎其心、追以色列人、以色列人出伊及、毫無畏懼、昂然而出、

爾為少者、當服老者、老者或作長老皆以謙卑為衣衣之、互相順服、經云、驕傲者、天主拒之、謙卑者、天主賜之以恩、

加以警戒、使復服主之律法、乃彼狂妄、不從主之誡命、干犯主之法度、人若遵之必得生、彼乃違背強項、不欲聽從、

爾曹勿復言驕、或作勿復矜誇狂妄勿出爾口、蓋主為睿智之天主、人之所為、皆主權衡、

莫若待之以巧計、免其眾多、遇有戰事、附合我敵、攻我離國而去、

法老曰、誰為耶和華使我聽其命、而釋以色列民、我不識耶和華亦不釋以色列民、

當是夕、我必巡行伊及地、擊伊及地諸長子、與牲畜所首生者、亦毀伊及人所拜之群神、我乃主也、

爾曹虔誠人、皆當敬愛主、因主保祐真實人、重報行為驕傲之人、

震動爾怒、見矜高者則抑之、見驕傲者則降之、將惡人踐於其所、

此民作磚、爾勿如昔給之禾稈、使往自斂、

當時之民、即我列祖、狂妄強項、不聽主命、
