「你們不可硬著心，像在米利巴，在曠野中瑪撒的日子一樣；

就不可硬著你們的心，如同在那悖逆的時候，也像在那曠野試探的日子。在那裡，你們的祖先考驗我、試探我，並且看了我的作為四十年之久。

「這個人就是摩西，他曾告訴以色列子民：『神將要從你們兄弟中給你們興起一位先知，像興起我一樣。』這個人曾在曠野的會眾當中，與那在西奈山對他講話的天使在一起，又和我們的祖先在一起。他接受了生命的話語，把它傳給了我們。我們的祖先不肯順從，反而棄絕了他，甚至在心裡轉回埃及去，

道成了肉身，居住在我們中間。我們看到了他的榮耀，正是從父而來的獨生子的榮耀，充滿了恩典和真理。

錫安的居民哪，你們當高聲歡呼，因為以色列的聖者在你們當中是至大的！」
