The Lord said to Moses,“ Walk out in front of the people. Take your staff, the one you used when you struck the water of the Nile, and call some of the elders of Israel to join you.

耶和华回答摩西：“你要到人民的面前，要带着以色列的几个长老和你一起，手里要拿着你先前击打河水的杖。

The Lord answered Moses,“ Go out in front of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.

And the Lord said to Moses,“ Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel, and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go.

Then the Lord said to Moses:“ Tell Aaron,‘ Take your staff and raise your hand over the waters of Egypt— all its rivers, canals, ponds, and all the reservoirs. Turn all the water to blood. Everywhere in Egypt the water will turn to blood, even the water stored in wooden bowls and stone pots.’”So Moses and Aaron did just as the Lord commanded them. As Pharaoh and all of his officials watched, Aaron raised his staff and struck the water of the Nile. Suddenly, the whole river turned to blood!

“ You and Aaron must take the staff and assemble the entire community. As the people watch, speak to the rock over there, and it will pour out its water. You will provide enough water from the rock to satisfy the whole community and their livestock.”So Moses did as he was told. He took the staff from the place where it was kept before the Lord.Then he and Aaron summoned the people to come and gather at the rock.“ Listen, you rebels!” he shouted.“ Must we bring you water from this rock?”Then Moses raised his hand and struck the rock twice with the staff, and water gushed out. So the entire community and their livestock drank their fill.

except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead.But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus— the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

“ Son of man, do not fear them or their words. Don’t be afraid even though their threats surround you like nettles and briers and stinging scorpions. Do not be dismayed by their dark scowls, even though they are rebels.
