民與摩西爭曰、以水給我飲、摩西謂之曰、何與我爭、何試主、

所以与摩西争闹，说：“给我们水喝吧！”摩西对他们说：“你们为什么与我争闹？为什么试探耶和华呢？”

百姓就与摩西争闹，说：“给我们水喝吧！”摩西对他们说：“你们为什么与我争闹呢？你们为什么试探耶和华呢？”

百姓就与摩西争闹，说：“给我们水喝吧！”摩西对他们说：“你们为什么与我争闹呢？你们为什么试探耶和华呢？”

百姓便跟摩西吵闹，要他给他们水喝。摩西便对他们说：“你们为什么跟我吵闹？为什么试探耶和华？”

因此人民与摩西争吵，说：“给我们水喝吧。”摩西对他们说：“你们为什么与我争吵呢？你们为什么试探耶和华呢？”

所以與摩西爭鬧，說：「給我們水喝吧！」摩西對他們說：「你們為甚麼與我爭鬧？為甚麼試探耶和華呢？」

人民就和摩西吵鬧，說：『給我們水喝吧。』摩西對他們說：『你們為甚麼和我吵鬧？為甚麼試探永恆主呢？』

民與摩西爭曰、飲我以水、摩西曰、奚與我爭、奚試耶和華乎、

民與摩西爭曰、盍予我水。摩西曰、奚與我爭、奚試耶和華乎。

So they quarreled with Moses and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses replied,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the Lord to the test?”

So they argued with Moses. They said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses replied,“ Why are you arguing with me? Why are you testing the Lord?”

Therefore the people quarreled with Moses and said,“ Give us water to drink.” And Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”

So once more the people complained against Moses.“ Give us water to drink!” they demanded.“ Quiet!” Moses replied.“ Why are you complaining against me? And why are you testing the Lord?”

So the people complained to Moses,“ Give us water to drink.”“ Why are you complaining to me?” Moses replied to them.“ Why are you testing the LORD?”

So the people quarreled with Moses and said,“ Give us water so that we may drink!” And Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”

Therefore the people contended with Moses, and said,“ Give us water, that we may drink.” So Moses said to them,“ Why do you contend with me? Why do you tempt the Lord?”

Wherefore the people strove with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why strive ye with me? Wherefore do ye tempt Jehovah?

So the people complained to Moses,“ Give us water to drink.”“ Why are you complaining to me?” Moses replied to them.“ Why are you testing the Lord?”

Wherefore the people did chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye tempt the LORD?

So the people contended with Moses, and they said,“ Give us water to drink!” Moses said to them,“ Why do you contend with me? Why do you test the LORD?”

Therefore the people quarreled with Moses, and said,“ Give us water to drink.” Moses said to them,“ Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Yahweh?”

勿試主爾之天主、如昔爾試之在瑪撒然、

再三試探天主、使以色列之聖主心甚不悅、

亦勿試基督、如彼中有人試之、而為蛇所滅、

故意試探天主、放縱情欲、貪求食物、

耶穌曰、經亦載云、毋試主爾之天主、

亞哈斯曰、我不求、我不欲試主、

彼時爾曹列祖、雖見我之作為、仍試我探我、

其時爾列祖歷四十年、觀我之作為、猶試我探我、

怨讟天主與摩西曰、奚導我出伊及、使我死於曠野、在此無糧無水、我心厭此淡薄之食、

時、會眾無水飲、集攻摩西亞倫、民與摩西爭曰、昔我兄弟死於主前、我儕恨不與之偕亡、何導主之會至此曠野、使我與牲畜皆死於此、何導我出伊及、至此艱苦之地、在此無田可種、無無花果樹、葡萄樹、石榴樹、欲飲無水、

此眾人雖已見我之榮光、亦見我在伊及與曠野所行之異跡、猶且試我至於十次、不聽我言、

在曠野有貪心、在荒墟試探天主、

斯民仍試探叛逆至上之天主、不肯守天主之法度、

今何為試天主、以我列祖及我儕所不能負之軛、置於門徒頸乎、

彼得曰、爾曹何為同謀、試主之神乎、葬爾夫者、其足已及門、亦將舁爾出矣、

耶穌答曰、經云、勿試主爾之天主、

爾又曰、今我可稱驕傲者為福、作惡者昌盛、昌盛或作得建彼雖試天主、亦得免於患難、

因以色列人爭於彼、又試主曰、主果在我中否、故摩西稱其地曰瑪撒、瑪撒譯即試之義又稱米利巴、米利巴譯即爭之義○

季子語父曰、請父以我所當得之業予我、父遂以產分其二子、

以色列會眾在曠野、怨摩西亞倫、以色列人謂之曰、願主使我死於伊及地、我在彼有肉盈釜、有餅可飽、何導我於此曠野、使斯眾饑而死乎、

民怨摩西曰、我儕將何飲、

謂摩西曰、爾導我出死在曠野、得毋因伊及地無墓乎、爾導我出伊及、何為待我若是、我儕在伊及時、豈不語爾云、毋擾我、容我役事伊及人、與其死於曠野、甯為伊及人服役、

以色列人眾怨摩西亞倫曰、我儕甯死於伊及地、或死於此曠野、

告之曰、爾使我見惡於法老及其群臣之前、以刃授其手殺我、願主鑒察而伸我冤、

其中閒雜流民、心懷貪慾、使以色列人亦號哭曰、誰予我肉食、我儕憶在伊及時、不傷財而食魚、王瓜、瓠、韭、葱、與蒜、今瑪拿外、我目前無他物食、使我精力衰枯、

拉結見己從雅各不生子、則妒其姊、謂雅各曰、給我子、不然、我死、雅各怒拉結曰、使爾不育者乃天主、我豈能代天主乎、

法利賽及撒度該人來試耶穌、請示以自天之異跡、耶穌曰、暮時爾云天必晴、因天紅也、朝時爾云今日必有風雨、因天紅而晦也、偽善者乎、爾能別天色、獨不能知此時之異跡乎、

眾既言為我立王以治理我、撒母耳不悅、撒母耳遂禱告主、
