The LORD then said to Moses,“ Write this down on a scroll as a reminder and recite it to Joshua: I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ This is something to be remembered. So write it on a scroll. Make sure Joshua knows you have done it. I will completely erase the memory of the Amalekites from the earth.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

After the victory, the Lord instructed Moses,“ Write this down on a scroll as a permanent reminder, and read it aloud to Joshua: I will erase the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly wipe out the memory of Amalek from under heaven.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this for a memorial in the book and recount it in the hearing of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”

And Jehovah said unto Moses, Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

The Lord then said to Moses,“ Write this down on a scroll as a reminder and recite it to Joshua: I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven.”

And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this[ for] a memorial in a book, and rehearse[ it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

The LORD said to Moses,“ Write this as a memorial in the book, and rehearse it in Joshua’s hearing; for I will surely wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under the sky.”

David slaughtered them from twilight until the evening of the next day. None of them escaped, except four hundred young men who got on camels and fled.

The LORD also said to Moses,“ Write down these words, for I have made a covenant with you and with Israel based on these words.”

David and his men arrived in Ziklag on the third day. The Amalekites had raided the Negev and attacked and burned Ziklag.

Then Balaam saw Amalek and proclaimed his poem: Amalek was first among the nations, but his future is destruction.

from Edom, Moab, the Ammonites, the Philistines, the Amalekites, and the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

“ This day is to be a memorial for you, and you must celebrate it as a festival to the LORD. You are to celebrate it throughout your generations as a permanent statute.

Let it serve as a sign for you on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead, so that the LORD’s instruction may be in your mouth; for the LORD brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.

“ Speak to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, to the high priest Joshua son of Jehozadak, and to the remnant of the people:‘ Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Doesn’t it seem to you like nothing by comparison?

Then Saul struck down the Amalekites from Havilah all the way to Shur, which is next to Egypt.He captured King Agag of Amalek alive, but he completely destroyed all the rest of the people with the sword.

At the LORD’s command, Moses wrote down the starting points for the stages of their journey; these are the stages listed by their starting points:

you should tell them,‘ The water of the Jordan was cut off in front of the ark of the LORD’s covenant. When it crossed the Jordan, the Jordan’s water was cut off.’ Therefore these stones will always be a memorial for the Israelites.”

The remembrance of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot.

and then sent you on a mission and said,‘ Go and completely destroy the sinful Amalekites. Fight against them until you have annihilated them.’

And Moses wrote down all the words of the LORD. He rose early the next morning and set up an altar and twelve pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel at the base of the mountain.

Moses wrote down this law and gave it to the priests, the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the LORD’s covenant, and to all the elders of Israel.

should we break your commands again and intermarry with the peoples who commit these detestable practices? Wouldn’t you become so angry with us that you would destroy us, leaving neither remnant nor survivor?

The enemy has come to eternal ruin; you have uprooted the cities, and the very memory of them has perished.

All memory of him perishes from the earth; he has no name anywhere.

After the death of Saul, David returned from defeating the Amalekites and stayed at Ziklag two days.

They struck down the remnant of the Amalekites who had escaped, and they still live there today.

I wish that my words were written down, that they were recorded on a scroll

He asked me,‘ Who are you?’ I told him: I’m an Amalekite.Then he begged me,‘ Stand over me and kill me, for I’m mortally wounded, but my life still lingers.’So I stood over him and killed him because I knew that after he had fallen he couldn’t survive. I took the crown that was on his head and the armband that was on his arm, and I’ve brought them here to my lord.”Then David took hold of his clothes and tore them, and all the men with him did the same.They mourned, wept, and fasted until the evening for those who died by the sword— for Saul, his son Jonathan, the LORD’s people, and the house of Israel.David inquired of the young man who had brought him the report,“ Where are you from?”“ I’m the son of a resident alien,” he said.“ I’m an Amalekite.”David questioned him,“ How is it that you were not afraid to lift your hand to destroy the LORD’s anointed?”Then David summoned one of his servants and said,“ Come here and kill him!” The servant struck him, and he died.For David had said to the Amalekite,“ Your blood is on your own head because your own mouth testified against you by saying,‘ I killed the LORD’s anointed.’”

David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites, and the Amalekites. From ancient times they had been the inhabitants of the region through Shur as far as the land of Egypt.Whenever David attacked the land, he did not leave a single person alive, either man or woman, but he took flocks, herds, donkeys, camels, and clothing. Then he came back to Achish,

This is what the LORD of Armies says:‘ I witnessed what the Amalekites did to the Israelites when they opposed them along the way as they were coming out of Egypt.Now go and attack the Amalekites and completely destroy everything they have. Do not spare them. Kill men and women, infants and nursing babies, oxen and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

“ Remember what the Amalekites did to you on the journey after you left Egypt.They met you along the way and attacked all your stragglers from behind when you were tired and weary. They did not fear God.When the LORD your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, blot out the memory of Amalek under heaven. Do not forget.
