And Moses’ hands were heavy. So they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it; and Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one on one side and one on the other. So his hands were steady until the sun set.

When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up— one on one side, one on the other— so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

When Moses’ arms got tired, Aaron and Hur got a stone and put it under him. Then he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held up his hands. Aaron was on one side, and Hur was on the other. Moses’ hands remained steady until sunset.

for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

if you also join in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons in our behalf for the favor granted to us through the prayers of many.

Draw also the spear and the battle axe to meet those who pursue me; Say to my soul,“ I am your salvation.”

And He* came and* found them sleeping, and* said to Peter,“ Simon, are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour?Keep watching and praying, so that you will not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”And again He went away and prayed, saying the same words.And again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they did not know what to say in reply to Him.

Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble,

And He* came to the disciples and* found them sleeping, and He* said to Peter,“ So, you men could not keep watch with Me for one hour?Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”He went away again a second time and prayed, saying,“ My Father, if this cup cannot pass away unless I drink from it, Your will be done.”Again He came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.And He left them again, and went away and prayed a third time, saying the same thing once more.Then He* came to the disciples and* said to them,“ Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.

With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints,

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving;
