So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites,“ In the evening you will know that it was the Lord who brought you out of Egypt,

So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel,“ At evening you shall know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt,

我要以你们为我的百姓，我也要作你们的上帝。我除去埃及人加给你们的劳役，你们就知道我是耶和华你们的上帝。

“我已经听见以色列人的怨言了。你要对他们说：‘到黄昏的时候，你们要吃肉，早晨也必有食物得饱。你们就知道我是耶和华—你们的上帝。’”到了晚上，有鹌鹑上来，遮满营地；早晨，营地周围有一层露水。

但是，倘若耶和华创作一件新事，使地开了裂口，把他们和一切属他们的都吞下去，叫他们活活坠落阴间，你们就知道是这些人藐视了耶和华。”

摩西说：“因这件事，你们就必知道这一切事是耶和华差派我做的，并非出于我的心意。

那时，他的百姓想起古时摩西的日子：“那将百姓和牧养群羊的人从海里领上来的在哪里呢？那将圣灵降在他们中间，以荣耀的膀臂在摩西右边行动，在百姓面前将水分开，为要建立自己永远的名，

耶和华吩咐摩西：“下去吧，因为你从埃及领上来的百姓已经败坏了。

你曾藉摩西和亚伦的手引导你的百姓，好像领羊群一般。

正当那日，耶和华将以色列人按着他们的队伍从埃及地领了出来。

摩西又说：“耶和华晚上必给你们肉吃，早晨必给你们食物得饱，因为耶和华已经听见你们向他所发的怨言。我们算什么呢？你们的怨言不是向我们发的，而是向耶和华发的。”

摩西就恳求耶和华—他的上帝，说：“耶和华啊，你为什么向你的百姓发烈怒呢？这百姓是你用大能大力的手从埃及地领出来的！

以色列人对他们说：“我们宁愿在埃及地死在耶和华手中！那时我们坐在肉锅旁，吃饼得饱。你们却将我们领出来，到这旷野，要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

百姓见摩西迟迟不下山，就聚集到亚伦那里，对他说：“起来！为我们造神明，在我们前面引路，因为领我们出埃及地的那个摩西，我们不知道他遭遇了什么事。”
