So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites,“ In the evening you will know that it was the Lord who brought you out of Egypt,

So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel,“ At evening you shall know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt,

我要以你们为我的百姓，我也要作你们的神。你们要知道我是耶和华你们的神，是救你们脱离埃及人之重担的。

“我已经听见以色列人的怨言。你告诉他们说：‘到黄昏的时候，你们要吃肉，早晨必有食物得饱，你们就知道我是耶和华你们的神。’”到了晚上，有鹌鹑飞来，遮满了营；早晨在营四围的地上有露水。

倘若耶和华创作一件新事，使地开口，把他们和一切属他们的都吞下去，叫他们活活地坠落阴间，你们就明白这些人是藐视耶和华了。”

摩西说：“我行的这一切事本不是凭我自己心意行的，乃是耶和华打发我行的，必有证据使你们知道。

那时，他们想起古时的日子，摩西和他百姓，说：“将百姓和牧养他全群的人从海里领上来的在哪里呢？将他的圣灵降在他们中间的在哪里呢？使他荣耀的膀臂在摩西的右手边行动，在他们前面将水分开，要建立自己永远的名，

耶和华吩咐摩西说：“下去吧，因为你的百姓，就是你从埃及地领出来的，已经败坏了。

你曾藉摩西和亚伦的手引导你的百姓，好像羊群一般。

正当那日，耶和华将以色列人按着他们的军队，从埃及地领出来。

摩西又说：“耶和华晚上必给你们肉吃，早晨必给你们食物得饱；因为你们向耶和华发的怨言，他都听见了。我们算什么，你们的怨言不是向我们发的，乃是向耶和华发的。”

摩西便恳求耶和华他的神说：“耶和华啊，你为什么向你的百姓发烈怒呢？这百姓是你用大力和大能的手从埃及地领出来的。

说：“巴不得我们早死在埃及地、耶和华的手下；那时我们坐在肉锅旁边，吃得饱足。你们将我们领出来，到这旷野，是要叫这全会众都饿死啊！”

百姓见摩西迟延不下山，就大家聚集到亚伦那里，对他说：“起来！为我们做神像，可以在我们前面引路；因为领我们出埃及地的那个摩西，我们不知道他遭了什么事。”
