以色列人見之不知為何物、相問曰、此何物也、摩西謂之曰、是乃主賜爾食之糧、

When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other,“ What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them,“ It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat.

The people of Israel saw the flakes. They asked each other,“ What’s that?” They didn’t know what it was. Moses said to them,“ It’s the bread the Lord has given you to eat.

When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another,“ What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them,“ It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat.

The Israelites were puzzled when they saw it.“ What is it?” they asked each other. They had no idea what it was. And Moses told them,“ It is the food the Lord has given you to eat.

耶和华对摩西说：“我要从天上降下食物给你们。百姓可以每天出去拾取他们当天所需的分量，这样我就可以试验他们是否遵行我的训诲。

祂让你们忍饥挨饿，然后赐给你们祖祖辈辈从未见过的吗哪吃，为了使你们明白人活着不是单靠食物，乃是靠祂口中的每一句话。

以色列人称这种食物为吗哪，它形状像芫荽的种子，白色，味道像用蜜糖制成的薄饼。

他们都吃过同样的灵粮，

他们吃了当地出产后的第二天，吗哪便不再降下，以色列人再没有吗哪吃了。那一年他们开始吃迦南的出产。

我们的祖先在旷野有吗哪吃，正如圣经上说，‘祂赐下天粮给他们吃。’”耶稣却说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，不是摩西从天上赐给了你们粮食，而是我父将天上的真粮食赐给你们。

我是从天上降下来的真粮，吃这粮的人必永远活着，不像你们的祖先，虽然吃过吗哪，最后还是死了。”

他们饿了，你赐下天粮给他们吃；他们渴了，你使磐石流出水给他们喝。你吩咐他们去占领你起誓赐给他们的土地。

“来吃我做的饭，尝尝我调的酒吧！

埋怨上帝和摩西说：“你们为什么把我们从埃及带出来，叫我们死在旷野呢？这里无粮无水，我们厌恶这难吃的东西！”

你们的祖先在旷野吃过吗哪，还是死了。

你差遣你良善的灵去教导他们，没有停止赐他们吗哪吃，也没有停止赐他们水喝。

因为这些都是外族人的追求，你们的天父知道你们需要这些。

于是，摩西吩咐亚伦：“拿个罐子盛满两升的吗哪，放在耶和华面前，留到世世代代。”

在旷野中把你们祖先从未见过的吗哪赐给你们吃，为要磨炼你们、考验你们，使你们最终得到益处。

‘圣灵对各教会所说的话，凡有耳朵的都应当听。我必将隐藏的吗哪赐给得胜者。我也要赐给他一块白石，石上刻着一个新名字，除了那领受的人以外，没有人认识。’

里面有纯金的香坛和包金的约柜。约柜里珍藏着盛吗哪的金罐、亚伦那根发过芽的手杖和两块刻着十诫的石版，
