“ In the greatness of your majesty you threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger; it consumed them like stubble.

My God, make them like the whirling dust, Like chaff before the wind.

Because of your raging against Me And because your complacency has come up to My ears, I will put My hook in your nose And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back by the way that you came.

“ There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to your help, And the clouds in His majesty.

But the Lord of armies will be exalted in judgment, And the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.

They are to praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His majesty is above earth and heaven.

There is none like You, Lord; You are great, and Your name is great in might.

Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no longer.

Whom have you taunted and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voice And haughtily raised your eyes? Against the Holy One of Israel!

Then it came about, as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer killed him with the sword; and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And his son Esarhaddon became king in his place.
