歌唱的行在前，作樂的隨在後，都在擊鼓的童女中間：

有一位女先知底波拉，是拉比多的妻子，當時作以色列的士師。

孩子的姊姊遠遠站着，要知道他究竟會怎樣。

又有位女先知，名叫亞拿，是亞設支派法內力的女兒，年紀已經老邁，從童女出嫁，同丈夫住了七年，

於是，希勒家祭司和亞希甘、亞革波、沙番、亞撒雅都去見戶勒大女先知，她是掌管禮服的沙龍的妻子；沙龍是哈珥哈斯的孫子，特瓦的兒子。戶勒大住在耶路撒冷第二區。他們向她請教。

高唱詩歌，擊打手鼓，彈奏悅耳的琴瑟。

摩西娶了古實女子為妻。米利暗和亞倫因他娶了古實女子就批評他，

大衛和以色列全家在耶和華面前，隨着松木製造的各樣樂器和琴、瑟、鼓、鈸、鑼跳舞。

正月間，以色列全會眾到了尋的曠野；百姓住在加低斯。米利暗死在那裏，也葬在那裏。

凡女人禱告或講道，若不蒙着頭，就是羞辱自己的頭，因為這就如同剃了頭髮一樣。

然後你要到上帝的山去，在那裏有非利士的駐軍。你到了城裏的時候，會遇見一隊先知從丘壇下來，前面有鼓瑟的、擊鼓的、吹笛的、彈琴的，他們都受感說話。

耶和華的約櫃進大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裏往外觀看，見大衛王在耶和華面前踴躍跳舞，心裏就輕視他。

婦女應該閉口不言；因為，不准她們說話，總要順服，正如律法所說的。

大衛穿着細麻布以弗得，在耶和華面前極力跳舞。

他有四個女兒，都是未出嫁的，都會說預言。
