無不驚駭、爾施厥能敵不敢動、屹然如石、待耶和華所得之民經其地。

主昔日所選之會眾、所贖為主民之支派、所居之郇山、求主記念、

謂之曰、主已將此地賜爾、為我所知、我儕悉懼爾、斯地一切居民、皆緣爾喪膽、

自今日、我使天下萬民因爾驚恐畏懼、彼聞爾名、俱戰慄悚惶、

詰朝、拿八醉醒、其妻以此事皆告之、拿八驚悸、魂飛膽落、僵如石然、

必無人能禦爾、爾所至之各地、主爾之天主必使其居民因爾驚懼悚惶、以應所許爾之言、○

彼為我儕舍己、以贖我儕出於諸惡、亦潔我儕為其選民、熱心為善、

蓋主救贖雅各、救贖之脫於強於彼者之手、或作蓋主贖雅各救之於強暴者之手

昔時民間有偽先知、如爾中將有偽師、私傳敗壞之異端、敗壞之異端或作害人之異端不認贖彼之主、自取速亡、

惟爾曹乃蒙選之族、有王位之祭司、成聖之國、屬主之民、主召爾出幽暗、入其妙光、欲爾宣揚其德、

敬主虔誠人、主護其步履、使惡人亡於幽暗、蓋恃己力不能獲勝、

至以色列人、及其牲畜、即犬亦不敢吠、使爾知伊及人與以色列人、為主所區別、

今爾若聽從我言、遵守我約、普天下雖皆屬我、我必於萬國中、特選爾為我民、特選爾為我民或作以爾為寶亦在我前、為祭司之國、為成聖之民、爾當以斯言告以色列人、

使海枯竭、大淵水涸、使深海中有途、使被贖之民、得以經過者、豈非爾乎、

主以己民視為己業、特選雅各為其邦畿、或作主視已民特為其分視雅各族為其恆業

世間有何民、可比主之民以色列乎、天主親往救贖以色列、立為己民、宣揚大名、又在主自伊及所贖之民前、為主之國、施行大而可畏之事、逐列國之人、及其諸神、

今雅各歟、以色列歟、創造爾甄陶爾之主如是云、毋畏懼、我救贖爾、我呼爾名、爾乃屬我、爾經水中、我護爾、爾涉江河、水不沖沒、爾行火中、必不被燒、烈焰不焚爾、蓋我乃主爾之天主、以色列之聖主為爾救主、我使伊及受罰、因以贖爾、使古實與西巴以代爾、

故當為己慎、亦當為全群慎、乃聖神立爾曹為督者、牧天主天主有原文抄本作主教會、即以己血所獲或作贖者、

凡爾所至之地、我必使其民皆畏懼爾、紛紛潰亂、我必使爾敵在爾前奔逃、原文作使爾諸敵轉背向爾

維爾斯民愚昧無知、報答主恩豈可如是、主豈非為爾父爾主、造爾建爾豈非主乎、
